  • Publication number: 20070071425
Abstract: A sensing apparatus for detecting a predetermined type of physical information which changes in accordance with an external factor, such as an operation force from the outside or the like, includes a camera, an attachment which includes a subject which changes a state thereof in accordance with the external factor, and a CPU which detects the physical information described above based on image data from the camera. For example, as the subject, a globe is provided which is arranged on a concave surface. Tilting of a case fitted with the attachment causes the globe to move on the surface. The CPU, from the image data, analyzes the position of the globe and detects the inclination of the case.

  • Publication number: 20030050839
Abstract: Free-gift information attached to a product is transmitted by a purchaser of the product by means of a purchaser's terminal to a distribution server via a network, in order to request distribution of free-gift data which can be used by incorporating the data into software of the terminal. The distribution server checks whether or not the request for distribution is regular one and then requests the purchaser of the terminal to fill in a certain questionnaire. The distribution server receives the questionnaire to check if requisite items of the questionnaire are answered, and then transmits free-gift data corresponding to the received free-gift information to the terminal. In this way, the free-gift data which is usable by the terminal is distributed to the purchaser of the product. Distribution of such free-gift data continuously creates desire of consumers to buy products, which contributes to sales promotion.

  • Publication number: 20020055949
Abstract: A transfer terminal transferring information through a storage medium is separately provided for a game terminal executing a game. The transfer terminal communicates with a server, for example, through a data communication path. When an acquisition request for additional data related to a game program is transmitted from the transfer terminal to the server, the server transmits the additional data together with advertisement data related to the game program. The transfer terminal receives the contents transmitted from the server and writes to the storage medium. Thereafter, the storage medium is mounted on the game terminal and accessed, so that the additional data and the advertisement data are supplied to the game terminal. When the user executes the game using the additional data by operating the game terminal, advertisement image based on the supplied advertisement data is displayed for the user.

  • Publication number: 20010051916
Abstract: The server device includes a first storage unit that stores an application divided into sub-applications, a second storage unit that stores information for each sub-application; a third storage unit that stores user information, a fourth storage unit that stores prepayment information, and a control unit that controls the entire server device. Some of the sub-applications can be executed alone. The control unit receives a send request from a user, and sends the sub-application through a data communication path. The user terminal which received the sub-application can start execution thereof immediately. Thus, an application communication system allowing utilization of a desired application in a short period of time after the start of communication is provided.
