  • Publication number: 20120116650
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle control apparatus which can prevent drivability from being deteriorated. The vehicle control apparatus comprises an ECU adapted to determine whether or not a brake is “off” or the state of the hysteresis width of an accelerator opening degree exceeding a predetermined hysteresis width is continued for a predetermined period of time during the execution of an engine torque reduction control process. When the ECU determines that the brake is “off” or that the state of the hysteresis width of an accelerator opening degree exceeding a predetermined hysteresis width is continued for a predetermined period of time, the ECU performs an engine torque restoration process of the engine. Therefore, the vehicle control apparatus can allow the continued execution and non-execution of the reduction control to be switched therebetween in accordance with the driver's travel intention, thereby making it possible to prevent the drivability from being deteriorated.

  • Publication number: 20110295480
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle control apparatus that can prevent the deterioration of drivability. An ECU executes a reduction control when speed reduction of a vehicle is determined as a control permit condition is established, and does not execute the reduction control when the speed reduction is not determined as the condition is not established. Additionally, when determined that a vehicle behavior stabilization control that stabilizes behavior of the vehicle is being executed, the ECU determines the speed reduction of the vehicle by changing a speed reduction threshold value for determining the speed reduction. This makes it possible to adequately determine the speed reduction of the vehicle even when a drive state of the vehicle is changed by the execution of the vehicle behavior stabilization control, thereby allowing the execution and non-execution of the reduction control to be switched reflecting a driver's intention and thus preventing the drivability from being deteriorated.

  • Publication number: 20050047284
Abstract: In a cooling water channel 11 through which cooling water circulates, a heater core 15 in which the cooling water heats air supplied from a blower 16, a heat absorbing part 13 in which the cooling water absorbs heat from a vehicle engine 12, which is an object from which heat is absorbed, and an electric water pump 14 for circulating the cooling water are arranged. A magnetic heat storage material that is, when magnetized, put into a high-temperature state because of a rise in temperature and which is, when demagnetized, put into a low-temperature state because of a fall in temperature due to a magneto-caloric effect, is mixed into the cooling water. A permanent magnet 17 for applying a magnetic field to the fluid is arranged on the heater core 15.

  • Publication number: 20050022538
Abstract: A temperature regulation apparatus comprises an air path, a heat exchange path for a heat exchanging fluid, a magnetic thermal storage unit having a magnetic thermal storage medium which increases in temperature upon magnetization and decreases in temperature upon demagnetization, and a magnetic field generating unit for generating a magnetic field in the air path or the heat exchange path. The medium of the unit assumes one of a high temperature state and a low temperature state with the movement of the unit into the air path, and the other state with the movement of the unit into the heat exchange path. When the unit moves to the air path so the medium assumes the high temperature state, heat is radiated to the air, while when the unit moves to the air path so the medium assumes the low temperature state, heat is absorbed from the air.

  • Publication number: 20040163794
Abstract: An engine driven by high-pressure gas comprises: a high-pressure gas tank (7) for storing high-pressure gas; a piston (3) displaced when pressure is given from the high-pressure gas tank (7) to the piston (3), the piston (3) composing an expansion chamber (4) in which the high-pressure gas is expanded; and a crank shaft for converting a displacement of the piston (3) into a rotary motion, and fuel is burnt in the expansion chamber (4) when a volume of the expansion chamber (4) is expanded by the high-pressure gas supplied into the expansion chamber (4). Due to the foregoing, the piston (3) is displaced mainly by the pressure of high-pressure gas in the same manner as that of starting the engine, and the combustion of fuel is mainly used to prevent the temperature of gas in the expansion chamber (4) from being decreased.

  • Patent number: 6079629
Abstract: A heating apparatus for a vehicle includes a heat exchanger for heating air blown into a passenger compartment by using cooling water for cooling an engine as a heating source, and a combustor for heating cooling water flowing into the heat exchanger. When the combustor is stopped, exhaust gas of the engine is introduced into the combustor so that the exhaust gas of the engine is heat-exchanged with cooling water in the combustor, and is introduced into an intake pipe of the engine. Therefore, exhaust gas of the engine, introducing into the intake pipe of the engine, is cooled in the combustor without an additional heat exchanger provided in an engine compartment.

  • Patent number: 4829777
Abstract: A condenser is connected to an outlet of a compressor. An expansion valve is connected to the condenser. An evaporator is connected between the expansion valve and an inlet of the compressor. A sensor detects a condition of refrigerant at an outlet side of the evaporator. A variation in rate of refrigerant flow into the evaporator is detected. A control device determines a variation in the detected condition of refrigerant which occurs in response to the variation in the rate of refrigerant flow. The control device judges a quantity of refrigerant to be insufficient when the determined variation in the refrigerant condition is equal to or smaller than a reference value.
