    Abstract: There is provided a measuring apparatus that is constructed such that an analog signal indicative of the difference between a target value and a measured value obtained by a gauge is outputted to an external device via a single signal line, while securing a required resolution over the whole measuring range of the gauge. A counter as the measuring apparatus stores target values set in advance to respective different values covering the whole measuring range of the gauge, in a plurality of target value-setting registers, selects a target value-setting register from the plurality of target value-setting registers by a selector, calculates the difference between a target value stored in the selected target value-setting register and a count value measured by a pulse signal from the gauge, by a calculation circuit, and converts the calculated difference (digital output data) to an analog voltage signal by a D/A converter in a data output circuit, followed by outputting the analog voltage signal.

A drive signal applied to a differential transformer is generated in digital form and an offset correction and a gain correction to output of the differential transformer are made in digital form for making controls unnecessary.

    Abstract: Present invention relates to a measuring device which is capable of improving anti-vibration property and anti-impact property. The measuring device comprises a case 1, a spindle 11 displaceably provided to the case 1, a sensor on stationary side attached to the case 1 through a base 33 and a sensor on movable side formed on a scale 35 attached to the spindle 11, and a relative displacement amount of the two sensors 32 and 34 opposing at a predetermined gap G therebetween. A gap enlargement limiting pin 41 is provided on the side of the spindle 11 to restrict a fluctuation of the gap G caused by vibration of the spindle 11 and the like within a predetermined allowance, and a gap reduction limiting film 42 is provided to the sensor on stationary side 32.
