  • Patent number: 4870258
Abstract: A booklet, such as a passbook is transferred to the position, in which a page turning device is provided, on a base, by a transfer mechanism comprising driving and follower rollers. During a page turning operation, the booklet is pressed from the rear side thereof against the page turning device by a pressing force which is varied in accordance with the rigidity of the paper in the booklet. The page turning device is turned with the booklet, pressed against the same, to transfer the booklet at a speed according to the turning condition of the uppermost paper in the booklet, whereby the page turning operation is carried out.

  • Patent number: 4820909
Abstract: A transacting device performs its transacting operations in response to a customer's request for a deposit or payment transaction. Upon the request for the deposit transaction, paper currencies deposited through a money receiving/paying port are transferred en bloc by paper currency transferring means to an accumulation unit close to a separating unit. The currencies are individually separated by the separating unit and then identified by an identifying unit with respect to authenticity, monetary classification and the number of currencies. Thereafter, the currencies are accumulated in a plurality of accumulation units according to the monetary classification. When making the request for the payment transaction, a plurality of the currencies accumulated in the accumulation units are transferred en bloc by the transferring means to the accumulation unit vicinal to the separating unit.

  • Patent number: 4718655
Abstract: Paper sheets transported from a transporting line are stacked successively into a receiving station by a vane-wheel type receiving and guiding device. The paper sheets stacked in the receiving station are taken out to a subsequent transporting line one by one by a friction pick-up and separating and feeding device. The friction pick-up and/or the vane-wheel type receiving and guiding device are rotatable. The friction pick-up is retracted from the surface of the stacked paper sheets when the paper sheets are stacked and when the paper sheets are taken out and is moved to abut the surface of the stacked paper sheets to thereby permit the taking out of the paper sheets.

  • Patent number: 4709911
Abstract: An automatic sheet feeding device for feeding sheets of low rigidity and high coefficient of friction, such as documents of small thickness and thin sheets with carbon backing, including feeding rollers, separating rollers, a rotating mechanism for rotating the separating rollers, and a regulating mechanism for regulating a torque applied to the separating rollers. A torque tending to rotate the separating rollers in a direction in which the sheets are fed is applied thereto by the feeding rollers, and a torque tending to rotate the separating rollers in a direction opposite the direction in which the sheets are fed is applied thereto by the separating roller rotating mechanism through the regulating mechanism for regulating the torque applied to the separating rollers which is a friction clutch.

  • Patent number: 4605938
Abstract: A recording apparatus of thermal transfer type includes a thermal head having a plurality of linearly-arrayed heat generating elements selectively generating heat in response to the application of a character and pattern information signal providing the thermal transfer energy, and a carrier having a coating of a thermally transferably recording material. A recording medium recording character and pattern information is disposed between the carrier and a platen roller to be transported by the platen roller. At the time of recording character and pattern information on the recording medium, the thermal transfer energy is applied to the heat generating elements corresponding to the character and pattern information signal while pressing the thermal head against the platen roller. During the recording, the thermal transfer energy is controlled to correspond to the required density tone of the character and pattern information to be recorded.

  • Patent number: 4577199
Abstract: In a thermal transfer recording system for use in a facsimile machine for a line-printer, a carrier such as a transfer film on which a heat transferable ink or any other record forming material is applied and a recording medium such as a recording paper are used. The carrier and the recording medium are wound in advance in a roll independently of each other. The carrier and the recording medium are brought into pressure contact with a thermal head in a recording section with the carrier and the recording medium overlapping one on another. Heat from the recording section causes the ink or any other record forming material on the carrier to be transferred onto the recording medium to thereby carry out the recording. The carrier and the recording medium may be conveyed in the normal direction or in the reverse direction.
