  • Publication number: 20130265254
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which in a conventional non-grounding man-machine interface having no reaction base on the human body and for giving the existence of a virtual object and the impact force of a collision to a person, a haptic sensation of a torque, a force and the like can be continuously presented in the same direction, which cannot be presented by only the physical characteristic of a haptic sensation presentation device. In a haptic presentation device, the rotation velocity of at least one rotator in the haptic presentation device is controlled by a control device, and a vibration, a force or a torque as the physical characteristic is controlled, so that the user is made to conceive various haptic information of the vibration, force, torque or the like.

  • Patent number: 7874261
Abstract: A stage apparatus includes a stage over which a substrate is to be transferred, and a levitation mechanism which levitates the substrate over the stage. The stage includes a plurality of gas spray ports (16a) to spray a gas for levitating the substrate (G), and a plurality of suction ports (16b) to take in air sprayed from the gas spray ports (16a). The plurality of gas spray ports (16a) and the plurality of suction ports (16b) are set not to be arranged on straight lines parallel to a substrate transfer direction in a predetermined length along the substrate transfer direction.

  • Publication number: 20070091063
Abstract: A system and a method are realized in which in a conventional non-grounding man-machine interface having no reaction base on the human body and for giving the existence of a virtual object and the impact force of a collision to a person, a haptic sensation of a torque, a force and the like can be continuously presented in the same direction, which can not be presented by only the physical characteristic of a haptic sensation presentation device. In a haptic presentation device 112, the rotation velocity of at least one rotator in the haptic presentation device 112 is controlled by a control device 111, and a vibration, a force or a torque as the physical characteristic is controlled, so that the user 110 is made to conceive various haptic information of the vibration, force, torque or the like.

  • Patent number: 6466551
Abstract: Disclosed is a simplex/duplex switching system which can easily cope with a simplex configuration or a duplex configuration. The simplex/duplex switching system includes a first device for outputting a predetermined frame signal carrying a plurality of time slot signals; and multiple second devices, each of which is paired with another device having the same structure, wherein, when paired second devices serve together as a simplex device, each of the second devices alternately receives the time slot signals included in the predetermined frame signal; and wherein, when paired second devices serve together as a duplex device, both of the second devices receive all of the time slot signals included in the predetermined frame signal.

  • Patent number: 5523999
Abstract: A packet data switching system having packet switching equipment and a plurality of transfer control units cooperating with the packet switching equipment exchanging packet data to be transferred through the transfer control units. In the system each packet data is divided into packet frames each having the same frame length and all the packet frames are processed synchronously in each of the transfer control units. Each of the packet frames is composed of a header area and data area. The header area is used for indicating transfer control information, such as an address of a destination transfer control unit and a continuous transmission flag which denotes that the related packet frame should be exchanged to the same destination as that of the preceding packet frame.
