Using the picked-up image, an image signal corresponding to the picked-up image is made. An image processor processes the image signal and generates data for showing a movement or tracks of the point indicator on a two-dimensional coordinate system. Thereby, a display shows tracks of the point indicator by using coordinate data.

    Abstract: Even when a headrest is moved, the hair of the patient is supported and the hair is surely prevented from hanging down.In a treating seat which can be lifted and lowered by a lifting device, stretched portions which are raised obliquely upwardly from shoulder supporting portions which support the shoulders of the patient are integrally formed. A recess into which a headrest for supporting the head of the patient is fitted is formed between the stretched portions. The side portions of the headrest are pivotally supported on opposing portions by pins, and supported by an engaging device in such a manner that the headrest can be angularly displaced. The stretched portions support the hair and prevent the hair from hanging down.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to a simple mounting structure for a dental X-ray apparatus. The structure is used in combination with a substantially horizontal treatment bed in such manner that irradiation tube of an X-ray head is designed to take a correct position with respect to the mouth region of a patient lying on the treatment bed with his head resting on the headrest of the bed. The structure includes the treatment bed, an X-ray head support connected to one side of the bed and made up of an assembly of a plurality of hollow tubes adjustable in length in the three-dimensional directions of length, width and height of the bed and an X-ray head mounted at the end of the support and swingable in a back-and-forth direction with respect to an axis of the irradiation tube. The irradiation tube is mounted on the X-ray head and movable toward and away from the mouth region. The structure permits simple and correct positioning of the X-ray apparatus with respect to a patient lying on the bed.

    Abstract: An apparatus for the simultaneous measurement and remote recordation of the depth of the gingival sulci and other similar anatomical recesses. The apparatus comprises a periodontal depth probe with a protruding, removably-attached cylindrical probe tip partially ensheathed by a slideable tubular sleeve which is electrically connected via a transducer within the probe body to a remote recording device. Translational movement of the slideable tubular sleeve partially sheathing the probe tip varies an electrical signal between the probe and the remote recording device according to the length of probe tip exposed. An operator-controlled foot switch is connected between the probe and the remote recording device to allow the operator to insert the probe tip into the gingival sulcus and adjust the slideable sleeve until it touches the margin of the gingiva before actuating the remote recording device.
