  • Patent number: 6203829
Abstract: The present invention is directed to rumen-bypass preparations for ruminants composed of a core preparation and a coating layer applied thereonto, characterized in that the core preparation contains from 50 to 90% by weight, based on the core preparation, of a biologically-active substance, that the active substance has been dispersed in from 10 to 50% by weight of a protective substance, and that the coating layer applied onto the core preparation is made of from at least one material selected among linear and branched, saturated and unsaturated aliphatic C12-24 monocarboxylates, polymers insoluble in the neutral region but soluble in the acidic region, and zein. Use of protective substances originating in natural substances and being harmless to the ecological system makes it possible to obtain rumen-bypass preparations which contain biologically-active substances at a high concentration and are advantageous economically.

  • Patent number: 5845144
Abstract: In an information processing apparatus with a main control unit and a printer, a transfer unit transfers commands and data between the main control unit and the printer, a memory temporarily stores the data transferred to the printer, and a detector detects the remaining capacity of the memory. The information on remaining capacity of the memory is supplied to the main control unit to improve the execution efficiency of the main control unit.

  • Patent number: 5776483
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide an economically advantageous rumen bypass formulation capable of containing a biologically-active substance at a high concentration by means of using a protective material composted of safe natural product to ecosystem. The preparation of the rumen bypass formulation for ruminants according to the present invention can be accomplished by dispersing a biologically-active substance in an amount of from 50 to 90% by weight relative to the weight of the formulation into a protective material comprising specific salts of aliphatic carboxylic acid and either of fatty acid or aliphatic alcohol at a ratio of the former to the later being in a range of from 30:70 to 10:90.

  • Patent number: 5777664
Abstract: A video communication system includes a terminal unit for transmitting/receiving an information signal including video information, and a repeater to which a plurality of terminal units identical to the terminal unit can be connected. The repeater forms a transmission signal to be sent to a transmission line by frequency-multiplexing information signals respectively transmitted from the plurality of connected terminal units. The repeater also receives a transmission signal supplied from the transmission line and supplies a plurality of information signals frequency-multiplexed with the input transmission signal to a corresponding terminal unit. With this arrangement, an inexpensive, easy-to-use video communication system which suffers little deterioration in image quality and sound quality can be provided.

  • Patent number: 5560919
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pelletization-resistant rumen bypass formulation of a feed additive resistant to pelletization by applying a reinforcement measure resisting to a mechanical stress during the pelletization and humidification and heating at steaming, etc. to a rumen bypass formulation formed of biologically active principles and protective matrices and a feed pellet for ruminants containing said pelletization-resistant rumen bypass formulation therein. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pelletization-resistant rumen bypass formulation prepared by including one or more rumen bypass formulations formed of biologically active principles and protective matrices in the moldings of various types of macromolecules described above (pelletization-resistant protective matrices) having a shape retaining property during a process of pelletization, and a feed pellet for ruminants applying the same.
