  • Patent number: 7132031
Abstract: In a process for making disposable diapers, a first web is continuously fed in its longitudinal direction. Tape fastener members extending in the longitudinal direction are fed to the first web so as to straddle respective lines corresponding to the side edges of the respective backsheets. Each of the tape fastener members has its longitudinally opposite end portions folded in a Z-shape or an inverted Z-shape. Top sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on their undersides with a first self adhesive and bottom sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on their undersides with a second self-adhesive. The tape fastener member is bonded to the first web by means of the second self-adhesive. The first web and the tape fastener members are simultaneously cut along the lines.

  • Patent number: 7093705
Abstract: An article turning-round apparatus includes a rotary table rotated by a first shaft, load-carrying tables mounted on the rotary table along a peripheral zone thereof, a first conveyor serving to convey articles to a first station and a second conveyor serving to convey the articles away from a second station. Each load-carrying table is either a first load-carrying table adapted to rotate counterclockwise or a second load-carrying table adapted to rotate clockwise around its own axis as it moves along with the peripheral zone of the rotary table. The articles are successively loaded, at the first station, on these load-carrying tables. The first load-carrying table is turned counterclockwise approximately by 90° and the second load-carrying table is turned clockwise approximately by 90° in the course of traveling from the first station to the second station.

  • Publication number: 20050131379
Abstract: Here is disclosed an article including a base sheet assembly having first and second end portions. A waist-surrounding elastic member is attached to the first end portions so as to extend in a waist-circumferential direction in a stretched state. Distal end zones of the second end portions are secured to the first end portions so that the second end portions cover the waist-surrounding elastic member. The first and second end portions respectively have opposite lateral zones and intermediate zones. The first and second end portions are joined in the lateral zones thereof and let free from each other in the intermediate zones thereof.

  • Publication number: 20040194879
Abstract: A process for making a disposable diaper wherein a plurality of backsheets destined to face a garment are successively connected one to another along respective side edges to form a first web. A first web is continuously fed in its longitudinal direction. Tape fastener members extending in the longitudinal direction are fed to the respective backsheets being contiguous one to another in the first web so as to straddle respective lines corresponding to the side edges of the respective backsheets. Each of the tape fastener members has its longitudinally opposite end portions folded in a Z-shape or an inverted Z-shape. Top sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on respective under surfaces with a first self-adhesive and bottom sections of these Z-shape and inverted Z-shape are coated on respective under surfaces with a second self-adhesive. The tape fastener member is bonded to the first web by means of the second self-adhesive.
