  • Patent number: 10389894
Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises: a first generation unit that generates approximate light pattern by adjusting spatial frequency of an input image, and generates a projection image data based on the approximate light pattern; and a second generation unit that generates a print image data based on the input image, wherein the second generation unit generates the print image data so that a difference between the input image and an image for observation obtained by superimposing projection light projected based on the projection image data onto a printed matter printed based on the print image data is reduced.

  • Patent number: 8031231
Abstract: In a video system of the invention, control means is provided for a terminal input apparatus which is connected by a communication network of a camera on the partner side and which comprises an image display apparatus having a multiwindow display function for selecting and displaying the camera. An image pickup operation which is required to the camera on the partner side, for example, the image pickup direction, focal distance, panning, exposure amount, white balance, automatic focusing, and the like of the designated camera are inputted by using an image display and a window display of the image display apparatus. The operation of the camera on the partner side and the operations of a tripod, a movable arm, and the like to hold the camera are controlled through communicating means. A photographed image is displayed by the display apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7633547
Abstract: This invention has as its object to integrate and simplify a communication interface, and to attain a size reduction of a camera housing and a cost reduction. To accomplish this, a digital camera transfers a control signal that controls the operation of at least one strobe device, and an image signal output from an image sensing means via a single USB cable. Upon making an image sensing operation that requires strobe emission of the strobe device, transfer of the image signal is suspended, and a control signal for the strobe device is preferentially transferred.

  • Patent number: 7483052
Abstract: An image-capturing apparatus has a function for printing an image with the use of an external printer. The image-capturing apparatus includes an image-capturing section, a control section, and a clock generating section. The control section controls the operation of the entire image-capturing apparatus, including the image-capturing section (hardware), and executes printing processing for printing an image by the external printer. The clock generating section generates a higher operating frequency when the control section executes printing processing (i.e., in a printing mode) than when the image-capturing section obtains an image (i.e., in an image-capturing mode), for the control section.

  • Patent number: 7395442
Abstract: A host computer can prevent a peripheral device connected to the host computer from unexpectedly shifting into a non-connection state through control of the host computer. Further, when the peripheral device, such as an electronic camera, cannot receive enough power from a connection line, such as a USB, the peripheral is still able to use the available power effectively. To achieve these objectives, there is a disclosed computer peripheral device connected to the host computer, wherein the peripheral device is comprised of a connection signal transmitter and a controller. The connection signal transmitter is used to transmit from the peripheral device to the host computer a signal to control the connection with the host computer. The controller is used for proceeding a running state of the computer peripheral to a non-connection state, after the connection signal transmitter transmits a signal for a non-connection state to the host computer.

  • Patent number: 7164786
Abstract: Images sensed through object lenses 100R and 100L, having zoom lenses, with image sensors 102R and 102L are processed by image signal processors 104R and 104L, and an image of an object in each of the sensed images is separated from a background image on the basis of the processed image signals. The separated image signals representing the image of the object enter the image processor 220, where a three-dimensional shape of the object is extracted on the basis of parameters used upon sensing the images. The parameters are automatically adjusted so that images of the object fall within the both image sensing areas of the image sensors 102R and 102L and that they fall within the both focal depths of the image sensors 102R and 102L.

  • Patent number: 7000129
Abstract: A peripheral connected to a host computer is prevented from unexpectedly coming to be in a non-connection state due to control of the host computer. Further, even when the peripheral such as an electronic camera cannot enough receive power necessary for the device itself from a connection line such as a USB, the peripheral is made to be able to use the power effectively.
