  • Patent number: 7485347
Abstract: Provided is a method for forming a film by which a highly accurate film pattern can easily be formed out of droplets. The method includes forming linear droplets on a surface of a substrate, providing a temperature gradient onto surfaces of the linear droplets, and forming a dry film including a straight part at an end section of the linear droplets. In order to provide a temperature gradient onto surfaces of the linear droplets, the substrate, on which the droplet is sprayed, is bridged between a hot plate and cooling plate.

  • Publication number: 20080316578
Abstract: An electrophoretic display device, includes: an electrophoretic capacitor provided with an electrophoretic layer containing at least one kind of electrophoretic particle; and a ferroelectric capacitor provided with a ferroelectric layer containing a ferroelectric material. In the electrophoretic display device, the electrophoretic particle is allowed to move to conduct a display and thus a polarity of the ferroelectric layer is inverted by a current supply to the electrophoretic capacitor and the ferroelectric capacitor that are electrically connected with each other, and the display can be retained due to a remanent polarization of the ferroelectric layer even after the current supply is stopped.

  • Publication number: 20080186259
Abstract: A display device for an active matrix drive includes a plurality of pixels each having display retainability and including a first sub-pixel through an nth sub-pixel (n is a natural number greater than 1), a selection switching element provided correspondingly to each of the sub-pixels, connected to a data line, and for selecting the corresponding sub-pixel, and an external input switch provided correspondingly to each of the sub-pixels, connected to a selection line, and for supplying a signal from the selection line to the corresponding sub-pixel in response to an input operation from the outside. The selection line includes n kinds of selection lines, from a first selection line connected to the first sub-pixel to an nth selection line connected to the nth sub-pixel, and the n kinds of selection lines are connected to selection switches for one of selecting the selection lines individually and selecting two or more of the selection lines in a lump.

  • Publication number: 20050112294
Abstract: Aspects of the invention can provide a method of forming a film by which one highly accurate film pattern can easily be formed out of one droplet. The method can include forming linear droplets on a surface of a substrate, providing a temperature gradient onto surfaces of the linear droplets, and forming a dry film including a straight part at an end section with a lower temperature of the linear droplets. In order to provide a temperature gradient onto surfaces of the linear droplets, the substrate on which the droplet can already be placed bridged between a hot plate and cooling plate.
