Abstract: There is described an outfeed device for a packaging assembly configured to form and seal a plurality of packages containing a pourable product; the outfeed device comprises an input station, at which it receives, in use, the packages, and an output station, at which the packages exit, in use, from the outfeed device; the outfeed device comprises at least one selectively operable cart element cyclically movable along an endless path, comprising a receiving portion defining a receiving seat for picking one single package at a time at input station, housing at least part of the package, and being configured to bring the package from the input station to the output station.

Abstract: An ultrasonic sealing device including a sonotrode for sealing a packaging material, including a piezoelectric transducer to generate ultrasonic acoustic vibrations for the sealing, a housing, a power circuit connected to the piezoelectric transducer. The power circuit is enclosed in the housing, and an absorbent arranged in the housing to absorb moisture in an atmosphere therein to lower humidity. A method of controlling humidity in an ultrasonic sealing device is also described.

Abstract: There is described a packaging assembly configured to form and seal a plurality of packs containing a pourable product starting from a tube of packaging material; the packaging assembly comprises: a pair of endless tracks between which the tube is fed along a straight advancement direction; and a pair of movable members, each one of which movably coupled to, and cyclically movable along, one respective track; each movable member movably carrying one respective forming member linearly movable towards said tube, transversally to said advancement direction, to cyclically cooperate in contact with successive tube portions, so as to form at least corresponding pack portions of respective packs; each forming member comprises a movable portion which is tiltable with respect to the advancement direction, to sequentially control a tilting of the tube portions with respect to said advancement direction.

Abstract: The invention relates to a forming device (42) for feeding along a forming path (B) a pack (3) which has at least one portion (6) to be folded into a finished package (2). The forming device (42) comprises a first surface (46a) and a second surface (46b) opposite to each other and adapted, in use, to cooperate respectively with a front wall (15) and a rear wall (10) opposite to each other of the pack (3) to be folded. The first surface (46a) comprises an at least partially concave forming section (8) adapted, in use, to cooperate with a top portion of the front wall (15) of the pack (3), such that an inward deformation of the top portion of the front wall (15) is prevented during forming of the pack (3). The invention also relates to a folding unit (1) for forming sealed packages (2) of pourable food products, to a method for forming a pack (3) which has at least one portion (6) to be folded into a finished package, and to a package (2).
