  • Publication number: 20030138655
Abstract: A wiper blade which is prepared by one-piece molding of a wiper base material comprising a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a thermoplastic resin and a dynamically vulcanized elastomer component and having a structure wherein the dynamically vulcanized elastomer component is dispersed in a continuous phase comprised of the thermoplastic resin, and a reinforcing material. The wiper blade is advantageous in that it is excellent in wiping property and also durability, the occurrence of chattering noise is expressed, and it needs a reduced number of steps for assembly. The use of the wiper base material has allowed the preparation of a wiper blade having such excellent characteristics by the use of one-piece molding.

  • Patent number: 5413146
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a hose of low cost, which can be installed very easily, which remains reliable over a long period of time, and in which damage to the inner construction can be easily discovered. An auxiliary pressure cord layer 7 is capable of being deformed by the pressure of a fluid in a chamber 9. A float 10 attached to a hose 1 with a mooring line is also attached to a hose body 2 through a connecting member, and when an amount of deformation of the auxiliary pressure cord layer 7 has reached a predetermined value, the connecting member is fractured and the float 10 is separated from the hose 1.

  • Patent number: 5244016
Abstract: A hose (1) includes a main pressure cord layer (5) for holding a fluid, and an auxiliary pressure cord layer (7) formed so as to sheathe the main pressure cord layer (5) and to form a buffering space (9) for retaining the fluid leaking through the main pressure cord layer (5) between the main pressure cord layer (5) and the auxiliary pressure cord layer (7). The auxiliary cord layer (7) includes first and second cord plies in an asymmetrical structural relation capable of being twisted by the pressure of the fluid leaking through the main pressure cord layer (5). Thus, even if its main pressure cord layer and its rubber tube are damaged leakage of the fluid can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5014751
Abstract: A hose for use in marine loading is disclosed in which are disposed two reinforcing layers, one being formed of a selected fibrous cord and the other of a selected steel cord. The fiber and metal layers are laid in this order over a hose core tube, the layers and the core tube being defined in their total thickness not exceeding half the overall hose thickness. The hose is highly resistant to kinking and sufficiently absorptive to pressure on surging.

  • Patent number: 4625170
Abstract: An NMR imaging method and apparatus of the type in which a 180-degree RF pulse is applied to generate a spin echo after the selective excitation of a spin by a 90-degree RF pulse. A dummy gradient field, which has the same direction and intensity as those of a gradient field to be applied when the spin echo is observed, is applied between said 90-degree RF pulse and said 180-degree RF pulse so that the instant of starting the application of the gradient field for signal observation is advanced to the extent corresponding to said dummy gradient field.
