Abstract: A silver halide color photographic material comprises a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one cyan coupler which can release a water-soluble compound residual group which contains a 2-acyaminophenylazo group or 2-sulfonamidophenylazo group via a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a primary aromatic amine developing agent.
