  • Publication number: 20090208276
Abstract: A connecting arrangement between a shaft journal (2), which is mounted so as to be axially fixed with respect to a unit, and a joint part (10) which can be pivotably attached to the shaft journal in a rotationally fixed manner. A shaft nut (5) having an internal thread (6) which can be screwed onto an external thread (4) of the shaft journal, is provided with an additional external thread (8) onto which a further nut (12) can be screwed via a counter-thread (21) to produce an axially acting interlocking connection (13) between the further nut (12) and the joint part (10).

  • Publication number: 20090176586
Abstract: A torque transmitting device, such as a fixed constant velocity ball joint as a counter track joint and a method for producing such a joint, in which the curvatures of the bases of the joint tracks deviate in their axial course from the curvatures of the ball contact lines. The method is characterized in that the joint component is brought to an increased hardness by a hardening process prior to the formation of the longitudinal profile of the component, and a diffusion layer is partially or completely removed in the region of the longitudinally profiled structure.

  • Publication number: 20090176585
Abstract: A torque transmission device such as a fixed constant velocity ball joint constructed as an opposed track joint and a process for producing such a device, in which the curvatures bases of the tracks of the joint deviate in their axial course from the curvatures of the ball contact lines. The process is characterized in that prior to the formation of a longitudinal profile of the joint component, the component is brought to an increased hardness by a hardening process and a diffusion layer is partially or completely removed in the region of the longitudinal profile.

  • Publication number: 20080305878
Abstract: A constant velocity joint having an inner hub and an outer hub (1) in which races or tracks (3) associated with one another in pairs are provided and with balls received in respective pairs of races or tracks for transmitting torque. The constant velocity joint is further provided with at least one joint connector (2) which, when the joint is assembled, is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to one of the hubs (1) by mating profile members (6, 7) in order to transmit torque.

  • Publication number: 20080248886
Abstract: A jointed shaft with two shaft sections which are connected together in a rotationally fixed manner via a central shaft which is constructed as a constant velocity fixed joint. A constant velocity fixed joint is also arranged on the end of each of the shaft sections which is oriented away from the central joint. At least one roller displacement unit, which enables both shaft sections to be displaced in an axial manner in relation to each other, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080242432
Abstract: A displacement unit and a jointed shaft which includes such a displacement unit. The displacement unit is formed of an external part and of an internal part which can be displaced in an axial direction in the external part, in which the external and internal parts have guide paths provided with balls arranged in the guide paths for the transmission of torque.

  • Publication number: 20080104844
Abstract: A method for producing a joint connection for torque-transmitting connection of a component (1) provided with spur gear teeth (13) with a constant velocity joint (2) provided with corresponding spur gear teeth (11). The spur gear teeth can be brought into interengagement by applying an axial engaging force and have flanks (25) that contact each other as functional surfaces. The invention also relates to a joint connection of the aforementioned type.

  • Patent number: 6859520
Abstract: A transmission mode x-ray diffraction screening system has a sample support that holds a sample tray with multiple samples to be tested. The sample support is connected to a translation stage that is movable in three dimensions, and that it offset from the location of the sample support. An x-ray source is located to one side of the sample support, and a detector is located to the other side, thereby allowing the detection of x-rays that are diffracted by the sample in a transmission mode. A retractable beamstop may be located between the sample and the detector to block at least part of the non-diffracted x-rays from the source. A video camera may also be provided for imaging the sample location, which may be illuminated by a laser. The entire system may be automated such that each sample in the sample tray may be sequentially analyzed.
