  • Patent number: 7033549
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for a compressed-air system (1) in a vehicle, comprising a connection (6, 10) for feeding compressed air from a compressor (2) to the rest of the compressed-air system. The invention is characterized in that it comprises an oxidation catalyst (9) which is adapted for cleaning the compressed air and which is positioned along said connection (6, 10), said connection (6, 10) comprising a line (10) which is connected between the oxidation catalyst (9) and the rest of the compressed-air system. The invention provides an improved arrangement for cleaning compressed air in a compressed-air system for a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6880327
Abstract: Method and arrangement for providing a compressed air system in a vehicle including a compressor (2) for generating compressed air and a connection (11) for feeding compressed air generated by the compressor (2) to the remaining compressed air system (1) in the vehicle. An oxidation catalyst (10) which is adapted for purifying the generated compressed air in direct connection with an outlet of the compressor (2), and that the oxidation catalyst (10) is connected to the remaining compressed air system (1).

  • Publication number: 20050052075
Abstract: Method and arrangement for controlling or regulating total auxiliary brake torque in a motor vehicle. The device includes at least one first auxiliary brake (4) of a first type and at least one second auxiliary brake (4, 6) of a second type that is different from the first type. The second auxiliary brake (4, 6) can take the form of a retarder (4, 6). A control system (10, 17) is provided for controlling or regulating the auxiliary brake. Information is stored in the control system regarding characteristics of the respective auxiliary brake (4, 6) and at least one predefined limit value for maximally permitted auxiliary brake torque. The control system (10, 17) is designed such that, if the limit value is exceeded or if a request is made for the brake force from the auxiliary brakes (4, 6) to be moderated, then this is done by turning down or moderating, in the first place, the brake torque of the retarder (6).

  • Publication number: 20050016798
Abstract: A protection device (10) in a disk brake arrangement for protecting a brake disk (12) from dirt particles. The protection device at least partly surrounds the brake disk (12), and the protection device (10) includes at least one protection means (13) that is mounted on the wheel suspension 11 and consists at least partly of a material of which the shape is influenced by heat. The protection means has a first end position which prevents dirt particles and relative wind from striking the brake disk directly and a second end position which allows relative wind to strike the brake disk directly so as thus to obtain cooling of the brake disk. The first end position occurs when the temperature of the protection means lies below a first temperature and the second end position occurs when the temperature of the protection means exceeds a second temperature.

  • Publication number: 20040163613
Abstract: A compressed air supply system including a compressor (12), a compressed air line (4) that connects an outlet (3) from the said compressor to an inlet (5) to a first active component (6), and an adjustable fan (13) which is controlled by a control unit and is arranged to generate an air flow intended to cool the said compressed air line (4), and a vehicle comprising such a system.

  • Publication number: 20040155055
Abstract: System for supply of compressed gas including one or more pressure tanks (6), a compressor (2) which can be controlled via first control member (7) and is arranged to supply the pressure tank or pressure tanks (6) with compressed gas, where the first control member (7) is arranged to adopt an active position when the compressor (2) is controlled to operate. Compressed gas is delivered to the pressure tanks, and a passive position when the compressor (2) is controlled not to operate.

  • Patent number: 6077330
Abstract: Device and method for the regeneration of a drying agent in compressed air system. The wetting degree of the drying agent is estimated and recorded by a control unit. The control unit ensures that the drying agent is dehumidified as soon as the wetting degree has reached a certain wetting degree. This certain wetting degree may be set to different levels for different operational condition.

  • Patent number: 5906480
Abstract: Device for charging a truck pneumatic system. The truck has a mechanical compressor (8) for supercharging combustion air to its internal combustion engine (1). The compressor is actuated in the lower half of the engine rpm range. Charging occurs when operating conditions so permit, with air from the charge air system, preferably from the pressure side of the mechanical compressor (8).
