  • Publication number: 20150141918
Abstract: A syringe propellable by propellant that boils at a predetermined temperature, the syringe including a barrel having an outlet at a front end, and a stopper axially moveable in the barrel. The stopper separates a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber being axially forwards of the stopper and being configured for containing a medicament, and the second chamber being axially rearwards of the stopper and being configured to receive propellant for acting on the stopper to move the stopper axially forwardly in the barrel to expel medicament through the outlet upon actuation of the syringe. The syringe further includes a rupturing portion and a third chamber for containing propellant where the third chamber is rupturable upon actuation of the syringe to fluidly connect the third chamber to the second chamber.

  • Publication number: 20150045747
Abstract: A valved container assembly which has a container for containing a fluid, the container extending in an axial direction and having an open front end and a valve disposed in the container. The valved container assembly is configured so that forward axial movement of the valve relative to the container is inhibited. A plunger element is disposed axially rearward of the valve and is axially moveable in the container. The plunger element is configured to increase the pressure of a fluid in a first volume of the container upon forward axial movement relative to the valve. The valve includes a channel bypassing the permanent seal, the channel having a first opening in fluid communication with the atmosphere outside of the valved container assembly and a second opening selectively sealed from the first volume by a resilient seal.

  • Publication number: 20150011975
Abstract: A syringe assembly which has a barrel for containing one or more medicaments and a stopper disposed in the barrel defining and separating a first volume and a second volume within the syringe assembly. The stopper includes a permanent seal fluidly sealing the stopper to the barrel about the entire perimeter of the stopper intermediate the first volume and second volume, and a channel bypassing the permanent seal, the channel having a first opening in fluid communication with the second volume and a second opening selectively sealed from the first volume by a resilient seal. The resilient seal is moveable between a sealing configuration and an open configuration to selectively seal the channel from the first volume and is moveable from the sealing configuration to the open configuration upon fluid pressure in the first volume or second volume exceeding a first pressure threshold.
