  • Publication number: 20140279270
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to systems and methods that enable a user to pre-order products from an internal or external organization. The organization procures the products and/or completes the pre-order, such as completes a payment for the pre-order or finishes the pre-order, based on the location of the user, as determined through the user's mobile device. The order is only completed when the customer location is determined to be within a desired location of the collection point for the pre-order. Preparation of the products pre-ordered by the user commences upon the user location satisfying a predetermined criteria, such as the user being located an approximate distance from a particular location, the user having an approximate arrival time from a particular location, the user located within an electronic geographic fenced area around a particular location, or the user identified as moving with respect to a particular location.

  • Publication number: 20140279471
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for providing a customer with a single transaction card that is tied to the customer's available payment vehicles. As such, the single transaction card may be utilized by the customer to complete a transaction with a merchant. Subsequently, based on customer rules or customer selection, the invention may direct the transaction to the selected payment vehicle. Rules include any preferences that a customer may input that allows the invention to automatically apply a single transaction card transaction to a payment vehicle. As such, rules may be trigged for a specific merchant, a specific transaction amount, a specific location, and/or the like. If a rule is triggered by a transaction made with the single transaction card, the triggered transaction will be automatically applied to the payment vehicle tied to that rule.

  • Publication number: 20140279490
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide unauthorized-transaction protection with user location verification. It is determined whether out-of-network transaction costs and/or an out-of-area transaction costs are associated with an ATM transaction associated with an authorized user. It is also determined whether a geographic location associated with the ATM transaction is geographically proximate to a geographic location associated with a mobile device that is associated with the authorized user. If out-of-network transaction costs and/or an out-of-area transaction costs are associated with the ATM transaction, it is determined whether to reduce the out-of-network transaction costs and/or an out-of-area transaction costs associated with the ATM transaction based at least partially on whether the geographic location associated with the ATM transaction is geographically proximate to the geographic location associated with the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20140279713
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods and computer programs provide for self-service rental of rental items. The self-service aspect of the invention allows for renters to obtain the rental, leave the rental agency facility, return the rental item and pay for the rental without having to come into contact with anyone at the rental agency. The invention implements a renter's mobile device. In this regard, the mobile device receives information related to the rental item that the renter desires to rent and initiates the self-service process. The rental period is defined by the time at which the mobile device, equipped with location-determining mechanisms, departs a designated rental area and the time at which the mobile device returns to the same or another designated rental area. Once the rental period is known, the rental period payment amount can be determined based on a predetermined rental rate and payment provided.
