  • Publication number: 20180104597
Abstract: One particular implementation of the present invention may take the form of a method and apparatus for providing various movements as input to a video game. The method and apparatus may detect the body movements of a video game player and interpret those movements as inputs to the video game. The video game may then compare the movements of the user to expected movements to determine if the correct movement was performed by the user. The video game may also display a video game environment that instructs and interacts with the user to perform several movements of the video game. In this manner, the method and apparatus may provide a move realistic and dynamic video game experience than previous video games that only allowed the player to press buttons as inputs to the game.

Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing geometric fractures parameters in a subsurface formation are disclosed. A first pressure signal and a second pressure signal in a first (observation) wellbore in the subsurface formation may be assessed using a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with a fluid in the first wellbore. The fluid in the first wellbore may be in direct fluid communication with at least a first fracture in the subsurface formation. The first pressure signal may include a pressure change that is induced by a second fracture being formed from a second (stimulation) wellbore in the subsurface formation. The second pressure signal may include a pressure change that is induced by a third fracture being formed from the second wellbore. One or more geometric parameters of the second and third fractures may be assessed using the first pressure signal and the second pressure signal.

  • Publication number: 20170370208
Abstract: Systems and methods for using pressure signals to assess effectiveness of a diverter in a stimulation wellbore are disclosed. A pressure signal in an observation wellbore in the subsurface formation may be assessed using a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with a fluid in the observation wellbore. The fluid in the observation wellbore may be in direct fluid communication with a fracture emanating from the observation wellbore. The pressure signal may include a pressure change that is induced by a fracture being formed from a stimulation wellbore in the subsurface formation. The pressure signal may be a pressure-induced poromechanic signal. The slope in the pressure signal before and after the diverter are provided into the stimulation wellbore may be assessed to determine the effectiveness of the diverter.

  • Patent number: 9844730
Abstract: One particular implementation of the present invention may take the form of a method and apparatus for providing various dance movements as input to a dancing video game. The method and apparatus may detect the hand and arm movements of a video game player and interpret those movements as inputs to the video game. The video game may then compare the dancing movements of the user to expected dance movements to determine if the correct dance movement was performed by the user. The video game may also display a video game environment that instructs and interacts with the user to perform several dance movements of the video game. In this manner, the method and apparatus may provide a more realistic and dynamic dancing video game experience than previous dancing video games that only allowed the player to press buttons as inputs to the game.

  • Patent number: 9302185
Abstract: A method is provided for decision streams for synchronizing visual script language processing between networked computers. A master computing device may receive a remote kickoff stream indicating master nodes to be processed on a master graph, create a master decision stream using the remote kickoff stream, process master nodes of the master graph to populate the master decision stream with states and actions during the processing, and distribute the master decision stream to clients for synchronization of private graphs. The master and private graphs may be copies of the same visual script for implementing game logic, which may be created and edited using a graphical user interface (GUI). Nodes of the graphs can be marked as master, requiring global synchronization, or private, allowing immediate local processing with reduced latency. Thus, online game designers are empowered to balance the competing concerns of state synchronization and latency.
