  • Publication number: 20220388751
Abstract: In a wafer container, diffusers are positioned such that they are closer to a center line of the wafer container. This improves the distribution of purge gas within the wafer container. The diffusers can be positioned such that their position corresponds to a recessed central panel of the back wall. The diffusers can be positioned such that an angle between the diffusers relative to a center of a wafer contained within the wafer container is 60 degrees or less. The diffusers can be joined to purge ports by offset connectors oriented such that the diffusers are closer to the center line of the wafer container than the purge ports. The distance from each of the diffusers to the center line of the wafer container can be less than one fourth of a diameter of the wafer that the wafer container is configured to accommodate.

  • Patent number: 11430435
Abstract: Techniques for selectively requesting feedback from users are described. A system may receive a user input and perform an action responsive to the user input. The system may determine whether feedback should be requested from the user. Such determination may be based on various signals such as the user's present emotional state, whether the user input included profanity, whether the user input interrupted an output of the system, etc. When the system determines feedback should be requested, the system may select a feedback prompt pre-established by a domain, skill, or the like. After the system outputs the response to the user input, the system may output the feedback prompt.

  • Patent number: 10872795
Abstract: A substrate retainer (110) is provided which presents a substantially uniform contact face (128) that can accommodate a large variation in the location of substrate registration thereon. The uniform contact face (128) is allowed to deflect and compress in order to eliminates the prospect of substrates (114) being damaged by or becoming inadvertently pinched within the substrate retainer (110) or from being pressed too hard by the uniform contact face (128). With this arrangement, no adhesives or tapes are utilized, so there is no attendant out gassing of volatile organic compounds to contaminate the microenvironment, or complications due to incompatibility of such adhesives and tapes with washing processes.

The substrate container additionally includes a check-valve assembly, the check-valve assembly being retained with respect to the access structure to provide fluid communication with an interior of the substrate container. The check-valve assembly includes a grommet, the grommet being formed of an elastomeric material. A valve seat is disposed within the grommet, the valve seat being integrally formed with the grommet according to one aspect, and being formed of a separate piece according to another aspect. An elastomeric valve member, specifically an elastomeric umbrella valve member according to one aspect, is disposed within the grommet and held to engage the valve seat, thereby restricting fluid flow through the check-valve assembly with respect to the interior of the substrate container.

  • Patent number: 10723525
Abstract: A wafer container with a latch mechanism that provides sealing for large wafer containers, such as for 450 mm wafers, accomplishes secure door closing and latching with reduced torque requirements for rotating the central rotatable cam plate. In various embodiments, a camming slot formed in the rotatable cammed plate is arcuate and defined by opposing cam surfaces which are selectively engaged by a cam follower, such as a roller, attached to a proximal end of a latch arm. The roller can include unitary axle portions that snap into the proximal end of the latch arm and is supported at both axial ends of the roller. The proximal end of the latch arm can include parallel extensions separated by a gap, and have guide in surfaces to deflect the extensions as the axle portions of the roller are forced into position thereby seating the roller at both axial ends.

  • Patent number: 10710794
Abstract: Racks for shipping loose or packaged glass sheets. A rack includes spaced-apart upright members that taper in thickness such that they are thicker at their lower ends compared to their upper ends. Base members extends outwardly and generally perpendicularly from respective upright members. The base members also taper such that they become thicker moving outwardly from the upright members. An acute or right angle is formed between innermost surfaces of the upright members and uppermost surfaces of the base members. The rack, when used alone, is self-standing as if an L-frame like rack and is arrangeable back-to-back with another rack of the same type to form a mutually-supporting A-frame like rack. The racks are easily loadable onto/removable from rail cars, trucks, and/or the like. Racks include features accommodating forks of a forklift/fork truck, further facilitating their movement.
