  • Publication number: 20230080901
Abstract: A preassembled combination connects a captured pipe element to a second pipe element. First and second segments are connected end to end surrounding a central space for axially receiving the second pipe element. The segments are configured to be drawn toward one another and into engagement with the pipe elements. An annular body forms the captured pipe element. An end face of the captured pipe element is retained within the central space by engagement between a bead projecting from a sealing surface of the captured pipe element and the coupling assembly.

  • Publication number: 20230028620
Abstract: A system and method to generate a website for a user system. The system and method generating, in a first phase, a set of static assets associated with the website of the user system. In a second phase, a set of web pages based on one or more data streams including data associated with the user system is generated. • Patent number: 11519534
Abstract: A pipe fitting has housing portions attached in spaced relation to define non-coaxial receptacles that receive pipe elements. The housing portions are supported on split rings received within grooves in each housing portion. The housing portions are supported in spaced relation in a preassembled state to permit insertion of pipe elements into the receptacles without disassembly of the fitting. The grooves in the housing portions have a floor surface with three surface portions. Two of the surface portions on each groove of each housing portion engage the split rings when the housing portions are supported in spaced relation.

  • Publication number: 20220341527
Abstract: A mechanical outlet forms a Tee joint by using a strap to cinch a pipe element to a saddle having a duct. One end of the strap and saddle are attached via an adjustable fastener. Angularly oriented action and reaction surfaces on the saddle and strap engage one another when the fastener is tightened to place a tensile load on the strap which substantially conforms to the pipe element and compresses it against the saddle. The opposite ends of the strap and saddle engage one another via a yoke and enlarged head, allowing those ends to be disengaged to permit insertion of the pipe element between strap and saddle.

  • Publication number: 20220316630
Abstract: A fitting has a conduit with a bore defined by a surface facing an axis coaxially located with respect to the bore. The surface may have three portions including a conical portion located proximate to the inlet of the conduit, a threaded portion located proximate to the outlet of the conduit and a cylindrical portion located between the conical and threaded portions. A gasket is positioned within the conduit. The gasket has an outer surface and an inner surface facing the axis. The gasket inner surface has angularly oriented lands. One of the lands faces the outlet and is engaged by a threaded component received by the threaded portion. Engagement between the component and the land compresses the gasket radially outwardly and longitudinally within the conduit. An angularly oriented shoulder guides the gasket into a redirection space defined by the conical portion (when present) as it deforms.

  • Publication number: 20220260188
Abstract: A pipe coupling has two segments with action surfaces in facing relationship. Attachment elements on each segment, in the form of lugs, accommodate adjustable fasteners which draw the segments together when tightened. Support surfaces on the lugs engage one another to visually indicate that a proper installation of the coupling has been achieved.

  • Publication number: 20220146022
Abstract: A pipe coupling has two segments with angularly oriented action surfaces in facing relationship. The action surfaces induce relative rotation between the segments when the segments are drawn together to engage the pipe elements being joined. Attachment elements on each segment, in the form of lugs, accommodate adjustable fasteners which draw the segments together when tightened. Angularly oriented support surfaces on the lugs engage one another and react the fastener force. Stop surfaces are positioned on the lugs adjacent to the support surfaces. Engagement between the stop surfaces limits the relative rotation between the segments.

  • Publication number: 20220145924
Abstract: A plurality of raised surfaces on a platform absorb torque of a fastener contacting the surface while rotating relatively to the platform. Significant disproportionate increase in torque compared with the associated increase in bolt stress is observed by increased felt torque when tightening the fastener. Raised surfaces are used on lugs of a mechanical pipe coupling to increase the fastener's resistance to damage when powered tools are used to apply torque to the fastener.

  • Patent number: 11125369
Abstract: A pipe coupling for plain end pipe is formed of segments joined end to end surrounding a central space. The segments are connected end to end by lugs on each segment with fasteners extending between them. Each segment has channels on opposite sides that face the central space with floors at different radii. Retainers are received within the channels. The retainers have teeth and one or more offset tabs that cooperate with the channels to prevent improper assembly. A ring seal is received within a channel positioned in each segment between the retainer channels.

  • Patent number: 11060639
Abstract: A combination includes a plurality of segments attached to one another end to end around a central space. A channel is disposed between the sides of the segments. A sealing ring is positioned in the channels. A tube has a first end disposed within the central space. A first protrusion extends radially outwardly from the tube and limits the extent to which the tube can extend into the central space. The combination is configured such that an end of a pipe element may be axially inserted into the central space and fasteners can be tightened to draw the segments toward one another.

  • Publication number: 20210148494
Abstract: Couplings for joining pipe elements have segments with attachment members with faces which contact one another when the segments are properly installed on the pipe elements. Each segment has one or more shrouds and recesses positioned along the faces. The shrouds on one segment are received within respective recesses on the other segment. The shrouds block the line of sight toward the central space which the segments surround and which receives the pipe elements. Index markings on the segments show visual inspection points to confirm proper engagement between the segments and the pipe elements.

  • Publication number: 20210095797
Abstract: A pipe coupling has first and second segments attached end to end surrounding a central space. The segments define first and second receptacles which receive pipe elements. A port is positioned in one of the segments. The port provides access to the central space. A nipple on the segment extends from the central space and defines a bore aligned with the port. A collar on the segment extends toward the central space. The collar has an outer surface which forms a recess with an inner surface of the segment. A seal is positioned within a channel defined by arcuate keys which surround the receptacles. The seal has a body which defines a first aperture aligned with the receptacles and a second aperture aligned with the bore of the nipple.

  • Publication number: 20210054954
Abstract: A coupling has first and second segments attached to one another end to end surrounding a central space for receiving pipe elements. A spring assembly attaches the segments at one end and an adjustable attachment assembly attaches the segments at the opposite end. The spring assembly biases the segments away from one another sufficient to permit insertion of the pipe elements into the central space while the segments are attached to one another. The coupling may include a split ring toothed retainer for coupling plain end pipe elements, or it may have arcuate keys which engage grooved or shouldered pipe elements.

  • Patent number: 10901851
Abstract: A delay circuitry is configured to hold up power to a mass storage device after a power fault disables communication of the mass storage device with the host computer. The time delay is sufficient to allow saving of in-flight data from the storage device's volatile cache to the non-volatile media (of the storage device) and to update a metadata table in the non-volatile media.

  • Publication number: 20200173585
Abstract: A coupling for joining pipe elements end to end has a unitary band surrounding a central space for receiving the pipe elements. Ends of the band are in facing relation. Adjustable connection members are positioned at each end of the band for drawing the ends toward each other and deforming the band. Arcuate ribs are positioned lengthwise along opposite sides of the band. The ribs are separated from one another by gaps between the ribs. In their undeformed state, each rib has an arcuate surface with a radius of curvature equal to the radius of curvature of the outer surface of the pipe elements which they engage. When the band is deformed the ribs clamp against the outer surface of the pipe elements to effect the joint.
