Patent number: 9119579Abstract: A microdialysis probe including a probe body, a supply line and a discharge line for a perfusion solution and a dialysis membrane, wherein a probe needle for introduction into a tissue is provided by a generally elongate frame. The frame has at least one recess at least partially open for receiving at least a portion of the supply and discharge lines. The invention encompasses a method for making such a probe, wherein the method includes arranging a dialysis membrane on a shaping device, shaping the dialysis membrane in a selected shape, applying an adhesive agent to the dialysis membrane to keep the membrane in the selected shape, and separating the dialysis membrane and the shaping devices after the adhesive agent has been applied.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2012Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Inventors: Matthew Carr, Bruno Reihl, Hanspeter Heiniger, Stefan Jost

Patent number: 8641049Abstract: Several preferred embodiments are disclosed for a tool-less blade clamping apparatus for a reciprocating tool of the type which has a reciprocating plunger which has a tool attachment receiving slot for receiving a tool attachment of the type that has a shank portion. The clamping apparatus has an unclamped position and a clamped position. In the unclamped position, a tool attachment can be easily inserted and when it is in its clamped position, the tool attachment is securely retained. The preferred embodiments have at least one spring biasing the apparatus toward the clamped position, a releasable retaining mechanism for holding the apparatus in its unclamped position after being placed in that position. When the blade shank portion is inserted into the slot a predetermined distance, the shoulders of the shank portion release the retaining mechanism to move it to its clamped position.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2013Date of Patent: February 4, 2014Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Marc Vincent Marini, Vance E. Roe, Matthew Carr, Gary Sinclair, Gavin Wright

Publication number: 20070205227Abstract: A liquid dispensing device has a chamber (11) for a liquid. The chamber has first and second openings (17), (18); a one way valve (19) retained in the first opening to allow liquid flow only out of the chamber; and a closure (13) slidably retained in the chamber to close the second opening. The closure has an actuator (22, 24) with a flexible element (21) which, extends into the chamber reducing its volume and thereby causing liquid to be expelled from the chamber through the valve. The closure slides in the chamber to reduce the volume of the chamber by the amount of the dispensed liquid.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2006Publication date: September 6, 2007Inventors: Matthew Carr, James Mccrone

Publication number: 20030064670Abstract: A worktool comprises a principal drive shaft with a sun gear attached thereto. At least two planetary gears are distributed about the circumference of the sun gear at substantially equal angular separation. A carriage constrains the planetary gears such that they maintain their angular separation about the axis of the principal drive shaft. Each planetary gear has an eccentric axis in addition to its rotational axis constrained by the carriage, such that each planetary gear can drive, in use, a rotating work-piece engaging surface around the respective eccentric axis. There may be a phase difference of 2&pgr;/n radians (n being an integer equal to the number of planetary gears) between any two eccentric axes.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2002Publication date: April 3, 2003Inventor: Matthew Carr
