  • Patent number: 11963691
Abstract: A surgical instrument, has an end effector that includes an ultrasonic blade, and a clamp arm that moves relative to the ultrasonic blade from an opened position toward an intermediate position and a closed position. The clamp arm is offset from the ultrasonic blade to define a predetermined gap in the intermediate position between the opened position and the closed position. A clamp arm actuator connects to the clamp arm and moves from an opened configuration to a closed configuration to direct the clamp arm from the opened position toward the intermediate position and the closed position. A spacer connects with the clamp arm to inhibit movement of the clamp arm from the intermediate position toward the closed position for maintaining the predetermined gap between the clamp arm and the ultrasonic blade.

  • Publication number: 20220240954
Abstract: Surgical drill guides have modular configurations and are adapted to accommodate a wide range of anatomy. The surgical drill guides are adapted to be removed while leaving a guide wire in its intended location in human bone. • Patent number: 11324523
Abstract: A drill guide system provides a means of improved tunnel placement accuracy by allowing the drill guide to articulate to seat against the bone being drilled. The drill guide includes an articulating drill guide adapter constructed in four parts: a top cap, a thumbscrew, a lock tab, and a spring mechanism. The drill guide adapter is part of an aimer arm which mates with a handle on the proximal end and an aimer guide on the distal end. The drill guide adaptor allows the aimer guide to articulate relative to an irregular mating surface, allowing for increased area contact between the aimer guide template and bone. Examples of the drill guide adaptor also include a means for locking the aimer guide into place relative to the aimer arm.

  • Patent number: 10867259
Abstract: A unified service model method is used for Business Service Management of a computing infrastructure. In the model, service offerings are defined for a business service, and one or more service level targets are associated with each of these offerings. The business service is associated with one or more technical services that support the business service. These technical services are delivered by actual component in a computing infrastructure. In the model, service offerings are associated with the technical services, and service level targets are associated with each of these offerings. A customer defined in the model subscribes to one of the service offerings of the business service. As business services are provided, the unified service model combines the service offerings tying the business and technical services to the associated service level targets, and administrators can manage the services and IT components using the unified service model.

  • Patent number: 10775052
Abstract: A heating system and method of using such system in a building for zoned radiant heating. The system includes thermostatic radiator valves, each fluidly connected between at least one radiator in a zone of the building and a boiler. A controller is operatively connected to the valves to deactivate the valve positioners when the controller determines that valve activity is likely to have little to no effect on the output of the respective radiator and/or active heating of the building is not desired. For example, the controller determines when the boiler is deactivated and sends a deactivation control signal to the valves operative to prevent the valve positioners from adjusting the respective valve position. In another example, the controller sends the deactivation control signals to the valves at the onset of preprogrammed low usage periods of the heating system.

  • Patent number: 10772622
Abstract: A tissue repair device including a handle, an elongated needle body defining an axial bore extending from the handle, first and second implants connected by a suture and disposed at least partially within the axial bore of the needle. A ratchet assembly includes a pusher member that incrementally advances through the needle body to urge the first and second implants therefrom in a predefined sequence, a proximally-biased rotatable ratchet coupled to the pusher member, and an axially translatable drive mechanism configured to provide axial and rotational driving forces causing the ratchet to alternately engage and disengage from successively more distal teeth of a toothed surface within the handle. One or more implant retention features impeded undesired expulsion of implants from the needle.

  • Patent number: 10551073
Abstract: A thermostatic actuator for a radiator valve includes a thermostat mechanism configured to passively open the valve when an environmental temperature is less than a set point and to close the valve when the temperature is greater than the set point. A set point adjustment mechanism draws power from a power supply to selectively drive unitary movement of the thermostat mechanism to adjust the set point. Multiple actuators are used in a zoned radiant heating system in which a controller is operatively connected to the set point adjustment mechanism of each actuator to selectively transmit a control signal to actuate the set point adjustment mechanism to drive unitary movement of the respective thermostat mechanism to adjust the respective set point.
