Publication number: 20230140461Abstract: Technologies are described herein for the administration of cryptocurrency. A currency transfer server is used to support the administration of a user wallet using a device capable of communicating via a cellular network. A coin transfer application receives instructions on how much cryptocurrency to send and the cellular number to which the cryptocurrency is to be sent. A temporary wallet is instantiated to receive the transfer, whereby the recipient receives a withdrawal code using a messaging application from the sender. Once received, the recipient can transfer the cryptocurrency from the temporary wallet to the recipient's wallet or use the temporary wallet as the permanent wallet.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2022Publication date: May 4, 2023Inventors: Albert Einstein Renshaw, Connor Matthew Duggan

Publication number: 20170070468Abstract: Technologies are described herein providing for prioritizing messages and bumping messages in a social collaboration application. In some examples, an input may be received that a message is a priority message. If prioritization is permitted, to notification of the prioritized message may be pushed to intended recipients of the message. In other examples, an input may be received that a message is to be bumped to the top of an information feed of a recipient that has received but not viewed the message. If the bump operation is permitted, the message is moved to the top of the information feed for the users that have not viewed the message.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2015Publication date: March 9, 2017Inventors: Albert Einstein Renshaw, Connor Matthew Duggan

Patent number: 9430284Abstract: Techniques to process virtual machine objects through multistep workflows in a computer system are described. In an example, a method of processing virtual machine objects through a workflow having a plurality of ordered steps in a computer system includes executing the workflow on computing resources of the computer system using the virtual machine objects as parametric input, where the computing resources: divide the virtual machine objects into workgroups; perform instances of a step of the workflow in parallel on the workgroups as the workgroups complete a prior step in the workflow; and execute an agent to delegate the workgroups to, and receive results from, the instances of the step as the workflow is executed.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2014Date of Patent: August 30, 2016Assignee: VMware, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Duggan, David Chavez, Aleksey Pershin, Kishore Nadimpalli, Ilia Langouev

Patent number: 9405630Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to perform site recovery of a virtual data center are disclosed. An example method includes discovering a work item to be included in a protection group associated with a recovery plan. The work item is not included in the protection group prior to execution of the site recovery workflow and the work item is discovered during execution of a site recovery workflow. The method also includes causing an operation of the site recovery workflow to be performed on the work item, and storing, in a persistable data container, a work item identifier identifying the work item. A result indicating the outcome of the operation performed on the work item is also stored. In some examples, the persistable data container is accessible to a status output device.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2014Date of Patent: August 2, 2016Assignee: VMware, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Duggan, Karthik Narasandra Manjunatha Rao

Patent number: 8898269Abstract: Network management data is managed by determining that a first version and a second version of a set of network management data have been created. The set of network management data is associated with a plurality of managed entities in a network. First and second network graphs are created based on the first version and second version of the set of network management data, respectively. The first and second network graphs include a first and second set of entities in the plurality of managed entities, respectively. A similarity metric is assigned between at least one or more entities in the first and second set of entities. At least a first entity in the first set of entities and at least a second entity in the second set of entities are determined to be identical entities based on the similarity metric being one of equal to and above a first given threshold.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2011Date of Patent: November 25, 2014Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Dakshi Agrawal, Matthew Duggan, Vasileios Pappas, Mudhakar Srivatsa, Kristian Jon Stewart, Murtaza Zafer
