  • Publication number: 20140252055
Abstract: A holster blank and holster for a handgun formed from a unitary molded body portion having two side holster portions joined to opposite edges of an elongate narrow spine intermediate portion by parallel living hinges. The side holster portions have outer edges brought together by pivoting the side holster portions towards each other via the living hinges so as to form the holster. The body portion includes interfacing elongate male and female locking portions which engage and lock the outer edges together. A method of producing the holster includes molding the body portion and pivoting the sides via the living hinges 90 degrees and providing a lock to interconnect the side portions adjacent the trigger guard of a handgun.

  • Patent number: 8793918
Abstract: A firearm bore cleaning device includes a flanged cleaning head with an axially extending shaft having an attachment section and a flange mounting section, the attachment section being adapted to attach to a flexible cable assembly. The cleaning head includes at least one deformably resilient flange extending radially from the flange mounting section, and has a larger radius than the attachment section. The flange, flange mounting section and a portion of the attachment section can be integrally molded from an elastomeric material. The firearm bore cleaning device is urged through a firearm bore such that a wall of the firearm bore squeezingly engages the flange and is wiped to remove residue from the bore. The head may include an enlarged flange that removes residue from the firearm chamber. A plurality of spaced additional flanges are provided to maximize cleaning of the bore.

  • Publication number: 20140196349
Abstract: This releasable flashlight attachment device can be placed and removed on/from the frame of a firearm without the user's hand passing in front of the barrel. It includes: (1) a bottom portion with a receiver section that engages an integral rail portion of a handgun and an adjacent nesting area adapted to hold a small flash light; (2) a cap to secure the light in the nesting area; and (3) a locking tab and spring that automatically engages the locking cross-slot integral to the rail portion, and the locking lab can be oriented in opposite directions in the receiver section to facilitate use of the device for either right or left side flashlight mounting. The bottom portion flexes laterally and has other features that allow the device to be snap mounted and easily demounted by rotation of the handgun relative to the device.

  • Patent number: 8533987
Abstract: A magazine well grip includes a generally U-shaped body having an outer surface, with a plurality of finger grooves defined therein, and an inner surface. An upper section of the inner surface is contoured to closely accommodate a magazine well of a firearm, the upper section terminating at a lip recess dimensioned to accommodate a lower lip of the magazine well in an interference fit arrangement. A lower section of the inner surface flares outwardly from below the lip recess. The generally U-shaped body includes a pair of spaced-apart, generally opposed sidewalls and a front wall. A generally wedge-shaped protrusion extends upwardly from the front wall of the body and is dimensioned for an interference fit between trunnions on a forward edge of the magazine well and behind a hinge portion of an upper receiver when arranged between the trunnions.

  • Patent number: 8523029
Abstract: An attachment mount for removably attaching articles to a MOLLE/PALS-compliant garment or the like. The mount is unitary with openings for affixing an article. A pair of resiliently compressible outer tines with a barb are compressed inwardly to be inserted through a pair of adjacent loops in a first horizontal webbing and then into a vertically-aligned pair of adjacent loops in a second webbing. Upon exiting the loops of the second webbing, the barbs spring outwardly to catch upon a lower edge at spaced stitched areas of the second webbing. Inner tines are directed overtop of the first webbing and into the same loops in the second webbing occupied by the outer tines, with the stitched area between the loops straddled by the inner tines.

  • Publication number: 20130180148
Abstract: A collapsible stock assembly for a firearm includes a stock body defining a buffer tube passage for slidably accommodating a firearm buffer tube therein. An adjustment slit communicates with the buffer tube passage along a forward portion thereof. A first adjustment mechanism canied by the stock body includes a buffer tube engagement element that can extend into the buffer tube passage and is selectively positionable by a first operating lever. A second operating mechanism includes a second operating lever that is operable to selectively compress the adjustment slit. Disengaging the first adjustment mechanism automatically disengages the second adjustment mechanism. Excessive force on the stock in several embodiments automatically disengages both adjustment mechanisms and minimizes damage to stock assembly and/or buffer tube.

  • Patent number: 8458867
Abstract: An attachment mount and receiver system for attaching articles to a garment. A receiver has openings for affixing the receiver to a support that is then attached to a compatible garment. The mount has openings for affixing an article thereto. A pair of flexible springs permit connected tines to be compressed inwardly, allowing the mount to be slidingly inserted into the receiver. A barb at the end of each tine engages an end wall of the receiver when the mount is fully seated. Tines are compressed inwardly and the mount is withdrawable. Selective locks can inhibit the tines from being compressed. Resistance to prying the mount away from the receiver is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20120174341
Abstract: A platform to which an article is attached on its front surface thereof and having two pair of spaced prongs extending from the back surface adjacent one edge portion thereof and facing inwardly and opposing spaced prongs adjacent the opposite edge portion of the platform. The prongs snugly fit within spaced horizontal loops of a MOLLE/PALS compliant garment or similarly designed garment. The garment must be temporarily folded horizontally to attach the prongs to garment loops and when released the webbing between the prongs and the back surface bunches up and is wedged therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20120175391
Abstract: A multi-mount system, including a receiver as one component of the system, for removably attaching articles to a garment. The receiver has openings for affixing the receiver to a device that is then secured to a device-compatible garment. An article, such as a holster, is affixed to an attachment mount that is then inserted into the receiver in locking engagement therewith. The receiver can also be attached to a platform, which is then secured to a garment. The receiver can also be attached to a second mount, which is then secured to a garment. The receiver can further be attached to other devices, such as a backing plate and waist belt. The mount and its affixed article can be quickly relocated to another receiver by compressing resilient outer tines of the mount and withdrawing the mount and then inserting it into another open receiver on the user's person.
