  • Publication number: 20240040216
Abstract: A camera includes a housing that defines a camera housing cavity and a lens assembly partially disposed in the camera housing cavity. The lens assembly comprises a lens, a lens cover, and a lens cavity that is defined between the lens and the lens cover. The camera includes a fluid path that extends from the lens cavity, through the camera housing cavity, and to an external environment. The camera includes a seal that partially obstructs the fluid path and is configured to equalize a humidity in the lens cavity with a humidity in the external environment.

  • Patent number: 11818448
Abstract: An image capture device includes a housing and a lens cavity comprising an external lens that separates the lens cavity from an exterior environment. The lens cavity is connected with an inside of the housing. The image capture device includes a door positioned on the housing that opens the inside of the housing to the exterior environment. The image capture device includes a vent positioned on housing so that moisture can be vented from housing and the lens cavity to the exterior environment.

  • Patent number: 11533415
Abstract: An image capture device includes a housing; a lens cover disposed on the housing; a lens disposed within the housing beneath the lens cover; a lens cavity defined between the lens and the lens cover; a battery cavity defined within the housing; a lens vent fluidly coupling the lens cavity and the battery cavity; a battery disposed within the battery cavity; and a desiccant patch coupled to a side of the battery. Moisture introduced into the battery cavity by the battery, the lens cavity, or the lens vent is absorbed by the desiccant patch.

  • Patent number: 11493831
Abstract: Breathable membranes for lens assemblies are described. For example, a system may include a lens barrel having an inner channel extending from a first end of the lens barrel to a second end of the lens barrel. The lens barrel can include one or more inner lenses positioned within the inner channel. The lens barrel has a vent hole in a side of the lens barrel that extends from the inner channel to an exterior surface of the lens barrel. The system includes a membrane attached to the lens barrel and positioned to cover the vent hole. The membrane has pores large enough to permit nitrogen gas to flow through the membrane and the vent hole.
