  • Patent number: 10050596
Abstract: Various aspects of this disclosure describe setting an audio compressor threshold using averaged audio measurements. Examples include calculating one or more average values of amplitude values of an audio file, and setting a threshold used in the audio compressor based on the calculated thresholds. Samples of the audio file with amplitude values above the threshold are attenuated, while samples of the audio file with amplitude values below the threshold are not attenuated. The threshold can be set equal to a calculated average value, or from a function of one or more calculated average values. Different audio channels comprising the audio file can be processed to set a respective compressor threshold for each audio channel.

  • Patent number: 9525501
Abstract: An input indicates a request for rendering of an audio source in a clip of an audio track according to an effect. Further, a cloned audio source is generated. The cloned audio source is a copy of the audio source. A cloned effect is generated. The cloned effect is a copy of the effect. The cloned audio source is processed according to the cloned effect to generate a rendered output file. The rendered output file is played without processing the audio source according to the effect.

  • Patent number: 9099150
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a method and apparatus for phase coherent stretching of audio clips on an editing timeline. The method comprising receiving a selection of a plurality of audio clips for stretching; determining a stretch ratio for the selection of audio clips based on a selection and repositioning one of a clip head or a clip tail of a selected one of the audio clips for stretching; and stretching each audio clip of the selection of audio clips by the stretch ratio, wherein during stretching, each selected audio clip remains synchronized with all other audio clips selected for stretching, by repositioning both of the clip head and the clip tail of each selected audio clip relative to the editing timeline, except for one clip head or clip tail which is not repositioned.
