  • Publication number: 20230402722
Abstract: Energy storage devices and methods of manufacturing thereof, such as a lithium ion battery, without tabs connecting the electrode jellyroll to the can are described. A series of flags may be cut, bent and interleaved over one another to create a connection point for upper and lower collector plates within a can. The upper and lower collector plates may be welded directly to the interleaved flags to create connection points for the anode and the cathode within the energy storage device.

  • Publication number: 20200250212
Abstract: In a method and system for reviewing, searching and analyzing raw data in a data corpus a corpus optimization module converts the raw data to an optimized corpus. A search composition module operates on the optimized corpus to derive a set of search parameters and a concept extraction module extracts a set of initial concept clusters using the set of search parameters. A hybrid review module receives the set of initial concept clusters from the concept extraction module and allows a user to review the optimized corpus using a user interface until the user declares the review complete. A visualization module visualizes the results of the review, search and analysis of the raw data in the data corpus after the user declares the review complete.

  • Publication number: 20200139311
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems for producing a foamed adhesive. A method for foaming an adhesive includes feeding an adhesive from a supply storage tank to a pump, conveying the adhesive outputted by the pump through an adhesive flow meter, injecting an air into the adhesive once the adhesive travels through the adhesive flow meter, feeding a mixture of the adhesive and air to a static mixer, mixing the mixture homogeneously with the static mixer such that the adhesive is foamed, and transporting the foamed adhesive to a product storage tank.

  • Patent number: 9848515
Abstract: Various computing devices, thermal solutions and enclosures are disclosed. In one aspect, a computing device enclosure is provided that includes a first compartment that has a first upper side and is adapted to house the computing device and a liquid cooling device. The computing device has at least one heat generating component operable to transfer heat to the liquid cooling device. A second compartment has a lower side that includes an air inlet and a second upper side that has an air outlet. The second compartment is adapted to house a head exchanger to remove hear transferred to the liquid cooling device. A hub connects the first second compartment to the first compartment in spaced apart relation so as to leave a gap between the first upper side and the lower side.

  • Patent number: 9004324
Abstract: An actuator cap includes a housing and an actuator. The actuator has first and second actuating members and a manifold in fluid communication with a dispensing orifice. The actuator is hingedly attached to the housing at a pivot. The pivot is located on an interior surface of the housing and positioned at or above a base of the manifold. The actuator resiliently deforms about the pivot when one of the first and second actuating members is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20090090647
Abstract: An apparatus for containing and conducting flowable materials, including liquids, pourable solids, or gases, the apparatus having mateable dovetails on four sides, and mateable screw engagements at the top and bottom. The screw engagements are operative to maintain a sealed connection between successive containers, and contain barriers which are adapted to be removed, whereby the material may flow from one interconnected container to the next, in the manner of piping. A lateral connection may additionally be formed by mating portions at the leading and trailing ends of vertically connected containers. A perpendicular connection is formed by interlocking an engaged cap of a first container with a lateral interlocking portion of a like container.

  • Publication number: 20070007745
Abstract: A tricycle convertible to a bicycle. The tricycle has a first wheel rotatably mounted on one end portion of a frame, and a pair of laterally spaced wheels rotatably mounted on a second end portion of the frame, wherein the laterally spaced wheels are movable, while the tricycle is in motion, between a first position with relatively wide ground-level spacing and a second position with minimal ground-level spacing. A wheel hub capable of providing adjustable wheel camber has left and right pivotally mounted axles extending laterally from the hub body, the axles each adapted to support a wheel and mounted so as to pivot vertically, and a dual camber control mechanism coupled to the axles and adapted to provide coordinated camber adjustment in the same direction for wheels on both axles. The hub has sufficient range of motion to allow the wheels to change from negative camber to positive camber, and is useful in a method of stabilizing a bicycle or the like to increase safety during rider training.
