  • Patent number: 4761337
Abstract: Cathodic electrodepositable resin compositions and aqueous electrodeposition coating baths comprising these resins are disclosed. The resin compositions comprise a cationic amine epoxy resin adducts and a cationic polyurethane resin adduct dispersion. The resin compositions when combined with a cross-linking agent and cathodically electrodeposited produce films which cure to durable, flexible, smooth corrosion-resistant, impact and chip-resistant films.

  • Patent number: 4423179
Abstract: Water-borne and solvent-borne storage stable polyurethane coatings having improved flexibility and solvent resistance are obtained from a hydroxyl-containing polyester based on dimer acid and a diisocyanate resin. These compositions are storage stable and when cured with an amine aldehyde resin form very durable and highly extensible coatings. These compositions are especially useful in paint compositions wherein the paint compositions are applied to extensible, resilient, rubbery substrates and metal substrates.

  • Patent number: 4318833
Abstract: Water reducible coating compositions based on a thermoplastic polymer prepared by polymerizing one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of a water soluble fully reacted polyurethane. The resulting polymer can be coated from solution as a clear film, heat cured, air dried or cross-linked. The coatings, when combined with pigments and metallics, are useful as automotive finishes.

  • Patent number: 4317895
Abstract: A coating composition based on a thermoplastic copolymer prepared by polymerizing one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of a fully reacted polyurethane. The resulting copolymer can be coated as a clear film, air dried and has particular utility, when combined with pigments and metallics, in automotive finishes.

  • Patent number: 3982986
Abstract: Saran films, or saran coated films or substrates are laminated to treated polyethylene films or surfaces, or to other saran surfaces by means of thermoplastic polyether polyurethanes applied to the substrates as aqueous solutions by conventional laminating techniques. Also, treated polyethylene surfaces are laminated together with the thermoplastic polyurethanes.
