  • Patent number: 10766253
Abstract: In example implementations, a fluid ejection system is provided. The fluid ejection system includes a plurality of fluid ejection devices, a sensor and a feedback system. The plurality of fluid ejection devices can distribute fluid onto a media. The sensor may analyze a line of an image formed by the fluid on the media. The feedback system can determine a respective amount of time delay for each one of the plurality of fluid ejection devices based on the line of the image on the media that is analyzed by the sensor. The respective amount of time delay is inserted into at least one sideband signal to provide a correct alignment of the fluid ejection devices when printing a subsequent line of the image on the media.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 8, 2020
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Matthew James West, Jose Miguel Rodriguez, Matthew J. Gelhaus

  • Patent number: 9931833
Abstract: A printing system includes an identification module to identify a number of the encoder pulses generated by an encoder at a rate corresponding to a speed of a media during a time interval. The printing system also includes an alignment module to at least one of change the number of encoder pulses or scale the encoder pulses generated by the encoder based on an amount of variation between the number of encoder pulses detected and the number of encoder pulses to maintain the number of encoder pulses constant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 2014
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
Assignee: Hewlett Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Patent number: 7551154
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a system and method for processing an image. An image processing unit includes a processor unit and a control unit. The processor unit receives an incoming video signal. The control unit defines image frames from the video signal. The image frames have bit planes in a plurality of spatial segments for manifestation on a spatial light modulator. The control unit also defines on and off states for a solid state light source. The control unit modulates the solid state light source at a modulated level during at least one bit plane such that illumination of the solid state light source at the modulated level is equally applied during the at least one bit plane for each of the plurality of spatial segments.
