  • Patent number: 10948374
Abstract: A tub drain overflow test system employs a kit with a connecting pipe with a front cylindrical portion having an inner threading and an intermediate annular flange coaxial with the front cylindrical portion. The front cylindrical portion extends through an overflow hole of a tub so that the annular flange, optionally with a seal ring, abuts the rear surface of the tub wall. A test cap has outer threading that mates with inner threading of the front cylindrical portion. The test cap has an annular flange and a breakaway test seal with a projecting grip tab. The test cap has an inner lip that provides a catch for inwardly extending tabs on a fixture to attach. The test cap allows the overflow drain to be tested. A seal portion is removed to provide access to the opening and the finishing fixture is mounted in place.

The front cylindrical portion extends through an overflow hole of a tub so that the annular flange, optionally with a seal ring, abuts the rear surface of the tub wall. A test cap has outer threading that mates with inner threading of the front cylindrical portion. The test cap also has an annular flange and a breakaway test seal with a projecting grip tab. The test cap has an inner lip that provides a catch for inwardly extending tabs on a finishing fixture to robustly attach. The test cap allows the overflow drain to be tested and then a seal portion is removed to provide access to the opening and the finishing fixture is mounted in place.

  • Patent number: 9151030
Abstract: A universal kit for installing a flush lever (22) on a toilet water tank wall (12A), and a toilet with the kit components installed therein, whereby the same components can be used to quickly and efficiently install the handle on the front face, side face, or angled portion of the toilet tank. The kit comprises a fixture (66) for mounting a flush rod actuation handle (20) on a tank wall, whereby the handle can be rotated about an axis (58, 60) extending perpendicularly from the wall into the tank. A flush rod (34) is angulated in three dimensions and has opposite end portions (36, 38), having the same shape, such that either end portion is selectively securable in the mounting fixture (66) for corotation with the handle.

  • Publication number: 20110138527
Abstract: A universal drain stopping device with enlarged stopper is installable in drains having different sized central threaded bores. A stopping assembly with a stopper and hollow shaft is removably engageable with a reversible stem. The stopping assembly and stem are axially reciprocable relative to each other when engaged. The reversible stem has opposite threaded ends having different sizes. The device is installable into a drain by threaded mating of one end of the stem with the central threaded bore of the drain. The stem can be axially reversed for installation into another drain with a different sized threaded bore. The stopper has a diameter that is greater than the outer diameter of the drain in which the device is installed.

  • Publication number: 20110126348
Abstract: A single-piece flush valve assembly for increasing the flush rate out of a discharge hole in a tank. The kit has an upper portion with an upper cylindrical wall defining an upper bore and a lower portion with a lower cylindrical wall defining a lower bore. The lower bore is smaller than the upper bore. The upper portion defines an inlet and the lower portion defines an outlet. The upper and lower bores are fluidly connected and collectively define a discharge conduit that extends from the inlet to the outlet. The lower portion is inserted into a discharge hole of like or substantially similar diameter. A flapper is swingable relative to the valve assembly from a closed position abutting the inlet to an open position raised from the inlet. The upper bore of greater relative diameter to the lower bore increases the rate of flow out the discharge hole.

  • Publication number: 20100212079
Abstract: An adapter cup for use in a multi-piece valve assembly, a universal flush valve assembly kit and a method of installing in a flush tank with a discharge hole. The kit has a first adapter cup, an additional adapter cup and a main body valve fitting. The adapter cups have substantially identical upper rims that are configured for attachment to the main body valve fitting. Each adapter cup has a lower cylindrical portion with a different outer diameter than that of the other adapter cup. The lower portion of one of the adapter cups is inserted into a discharge hole of like or substantially similar diameter. The main body fitting with an inlet and outlet is attached to the rim of the inserted adapter cup. A flapper is swingable relative to the main body fitting from a closed position abutting the outlet to an open position raised from the inlet. A single flush tank valve assembly can be installed into toilet tanks with different sized discharge holes.
