Patent number: 12012777Abstract: Security systems and methods are provided. In one example, a security system includes at least one lock configured to protect one or more items from theft from the fixture, wherein the lock comprises a plunger pin configured to be moved between a latched position and an unlatched position, and wherein the fixture is configured to be accessed in the unlatched position. The lock comprises a cam configured to be moved between a locked state and an unlocked state for allowing the plunger pin to be moved between the latched position and the unlatched position when in the unlocked state, wherein the cam is configured to be moved in response to receiving a wireless authorization signal to transition the lock between the locked state and the unlocked state.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2022Date of Patent: June 18, 2024Assignee: InVue Security Products, Inc.Inventors: Ethan Evan Wood, Wesley J. Blanchard, Matthew Kepner

Publication number: 20240186845Abstract: An electric motor includes a rotor assembly including a rotor shaft, a rotor body fixedly coupled to the rotor shaft, and a plurality of magnets coupled to the rotor body. The electric motor also includes a stator assembly at least partially received within the rotor body. The stator assembly includes a stator mount including a stator support portion and a motor support portion. The stator assembly also includes a stator core assembly fixedly supported by the stator mount, the stator core assembly defining a central bore that receives the rotor shaft and the stator support portion. The electric motor also includes a bearing having an outer race and an inner race, the outer race being supported by the stator core assembly, and the inner race supporting the rotor shaft for rotation relative to the stator assembly. The stator core assembly further defines a bearing pocket adjacent to the central bore.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: June 6, 2024Inventors: Jacob G. Wood, Carter H. Publication number: 20240139689Abstract: Halogen-free, microporous polyolefin membranes are disclosed herein. The halogen-free, microporous polyolefin membranes can be manufactured using an environmentally friendly manufacturing process that includes extrusion of polymer-plasticizer mixtures followed by sheet formation and extraction of the plasticizer with a halogen-free solvent. The halogen-free solvent has a flashpoint greater than about 23° C. and an initial boiling point at least about 50° C. lower than the flashpoint of the plasticizer. The process can further be a closed loop process in which the halogen-free solvent can be reused.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Weston J. Wood, Don Spitz, Matthew Alan Warren, Cory S. Rogers, Richard W. Pekala

Patent number: 9302014Abstract: The present invention discloses cell penetrating peptides (CPP or membrane translocating peptide) and their conjugates with cargo molecules. The peptides are useful as drug delivery systems, particularly as delivery vehicles for nucleotide-based therapeutics, such as polynucleotides, oligonucleotides and peptide nucleic acids. A CPPs of the invention provides a balance between good cell entry efficiency and low toxicity and comprises three contiguous domains: the central one being hydrophobic and the flanking ones consisting of arginine and aminohexanoic acid or beta-alanine residues. The hydrophobic domain contains a sequence selected from YQFLI, YRFLI, IQFLI and IRFLI.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2012Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Assignee: Medical Research CouncilInventors: Michael John Gait, Andrey Alexandrovich Arzumanov, Amer F. Saleh, Matthew J. A. Wood, Corinne Betts, Taeyoung Koo

Patent number: 8259094Abstract: A projection advertising display system which can withstand the environmental conditions of the projection site, allows for remote operation and monitoring and provides for long-term, legitimate projected advertising in or on third-party structures. The digital projection advertising display system comprises a projection surface, such as the exterior side or interior wall of a building, which is covered by a long-term agreement allowing the projection of advertising images on said projection surface, and a projection unit comprising a projector, an environmental control system, a monitoring camera, and a computer. Each of the components of the projection unit is operatively coupled to a computer which controls and monitors the function of each of the components. The computer is networked to a central computer remote from said projection unit and can remotely control and monitor the functions of the projection unit.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2011Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: Wallspace Media, LLCInventors: Jude P. Galligan, Matthew J. Wood
