  • Patent number: 11792448
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining an ad play list for an Over-The-Top video stream requested by an end user device based on a price and/or a category of a creative derived from auctions with multiple Supply-Side Platform servers. The ad play list can be determined for the ad pod according to business rules, which can include a yield policy based on increasing revenue for a publisher of the video stream, and/or which can include a competitive separation policy enforced based on the category for bid responses. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230263404
Abstract: Devices, apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are provided for hemorrhage detection. An example sensing device for hemorrhage detection includes a blood detection layer that includes a permeable film and one or more optical fibers supported by the permeable film. The device also includes an optical sensor that includes a light source that emits light and an optical receiver in optical communication with the light source via the one or more optical fibers. The optical receiver generates optical data responsive to the light emitted by the light source and received by the optical receiver via the one or more optical fibers indicative of at least a wavelength of the light. The device further includes a controller operably coupled with the optical sensor that receives the optical data generated by the optical receiver in response to the emitted light and determines an amount of blood based upon the optical data.

  • Publication number: 20230148875
Abstract: Devices, apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are provided for hemorrhage detection. An example sensing device for hemorrhage detection includes a blood selective layer that includes a permeable film and an iron selective conductive circuit supported by the permeable film. The sensing device further includes a controller operably coupled with the blood selective layer. The controller is configured to supply a current to the iron selective conductive circuit, determine an impedance of the iron selective conductive circuit responsive to blood received by the blood selective layer, and determine an amount of blood received by the blood selective layer based upon the determined impedance. The controller may further compare the determined impedance with an alert threshold and generate an alert signal in an instance in which the determined impedance satisfies the alert threshold.

  • Patent number: 8968654
Abstract: A fluid delivery system includes a laboratory instrument that operates using fluid retained in one or more containers. The containers are supported on a motor-driven lift that is configured to transport the containers between a lowered position suitable for handling and an elevated position suitable for the delivery of fluid to the instrument by gravity. The lift includes a bench-mountable base, a tubular column extending upward from the base, an elongated lead screw extending longitudinally through the column, a drive mechanism for rotatably driving the lead screw, a carriage slidably mounted over the tubular column and mechanically coupled to the lead screw, a platform removably coupled to the carriage for supporting the containers, and a control system for regulating operation of the drive mechanism. During operation, a slot provided in the column restricts travel of the platform along a predefined path that is linear in part and helical in part.

  • Publication number: 20070093277
Abstract: An accessory for a portable device can include a number of selectable operational states. In order to convey information about the current operational state to a user, the accessory can be configured to generate a state signal that is directed to the primary device for the accessory. The state signal can include information, such as a static image, about the current operational state that can be displayed on a display device of the primary device. Where a primary device has multiple states than cannot easily be displayed to a user, an accessory can be used to generate a state signal that can be directed to a secondary device in order to display the state information for the primary device using the secondary device.

  • Patent number: 5884033
Abstract: A client-based filtering system compares portions of incoming and/or outgoing messages to filtering information in a filter database, and determines whether to block or allow incoming and/or outgoing transmissions of messages in response to the comparison. In response to a match between the portion of the message and the filtering information, the system can employ one of a number of different specified blocking options. The system has an update server that is accessible over the Internet and that has new filtering information for updating the filter database. The filter database can have a filter database stored on a server in a network coupled to the client.
