Patent number: 11975442Abstract: A tower closing apparatus is provided that is configured to simplify the closing of a multi-piece, hinged hydroponic tower. The hydroponic tower closing apparatus utilizes a collection of static and continuously moving components (e.g., motor driven drive rollers, alignment rollers, tower body alignment rollers, face plate manipulation rollers, face closing rollers, etc.) to close a hydroponic tower as it passes through the apparatus. In particular, as the tower is driven through the closing apparatus, a series of face plate manipulation rollers gradually rotate the face plate(s) relative to the tower body, moving the face plate(s) from a fully open position to a partially closed position. Next a series of face closing rollers continue to rotate the face plate(s) from the partially closed position to the fully closed position, forcing the fasteners to latch the face plate(s) into position.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2019Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Inventors: Matthew Matera, Adam Thomas Stagnaro, Maria Malone, Anna Olson, Brice Klein, Tamara Hasoon, Merritt Jenkins, Andy Dubel

Publication number: 20240117428Abstract: The present disclosure provides nucleotide conjugates each configured to include a core attached to multiple nucleotide-arms, where the nucleotide-arms are modular and comprise (i) a core attachment moiety, (ii) a spacer, (iii) a linker, and (iv) a nucleotide unit. The nucleotide unit of each nucleotide-arm can bind a polymerase which is complexed with a nucleic acid template and nucleic acid primer. The nucleotide unit can bind the 3? end of the primer at a position that is opposite a complementary nucleotide in the template strand. Under suitable conditions, the nucleotide unit of the nucleotide conjugates binds the primer strand but does not undergo polymerase-catalyzed incorporation. The binding event can be detected, and the specific base of the nucleotide unit can be identified. The nucleotide conjugates described herein are useful for nucleic acid sequencing methods, particularly for massively parallel sequencing methods employed for next gen sequencing platforms.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Inventors: MICHAEL PREVITE, MARK AMBROSO, TYLER LOPEZ, MICHAEL KLEIN, VIRGINIA SAADE, MATTHEW KELLINGER

Patent number: 11951610Abstract: A tower opening apparatus is provided that is configured to simplify the opening of a multi-piece, hinged, hydroponic tower. The hydroponic tower opening apparatus utilizes a collection of static and continuously moving components (e.g., motor driven drive rollers, alignment rollers, stationary wedges, longitudinal ramps, etc.) to open a hydroponic tower as it passes through the apparatus. In particular, as the tower is driven through the opening apparatus, the fastener(s) holding the face plate(s) to the tower body is released by a wedge(s). After the fastener(s) is released, the face plate(s) is partially rotated about the tower body, thereby partially opening the tower cavity(s). Next a longitudinal ramp(s) continues to rotate the face plate(s) relative to the tower body, moving the face plate(s) to a fully open position.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: MJNN LLCInventors: Brice Klein, Matthew Matera, Andy Dubel, Merritt Jenkins, Tamara Hasoon, Maria Malone, Anna Olson, Mark Cuson

Patent number: 11928164Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a network-based workflow system, employed for receiving workflows, defining one or more data-object types based on the workflows, generating data-objects, assigning a workflow from among the one or more workflows to the data-object, and managing the data-object through various states of based on the workflow. As discussed, a “workflow” refers to orchestrated and repeatable patterns enabled by a systematic organization of resources into processes that transform and modify presentations of data-objects based on corresponding data-object states. A workflow may therefore comprise a set of states, wherein each state is linked to another state by one or more transitions, and wherein the transitions are associated with a set of events which may occur at each state.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 2020Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Nathaniel Klein, Huanqi Deng, Kevin Whelan, Matthew LeVan, Takashi Okamoto
