  • Patent number: 11964741
Abstract: A method includes receiving electric field data regarding an electric field that is detected in an underwater environment by a plurality of electrodes mounted on a first structure, and receiving sensor data from at least one sensor mounted on the first structure. The sensor data relates to a sensed location of a second structure. The method includes determining location data including information regarding a location of the second structure relative to the first structure in the underwater environment based on the sensor data, and determining one or more characteristics of the second structure based on the electric field data and the location data.

  • Publication number: 20170235986
Abstract: An image enhancer device for use with an associated mobile electronic device having a digital camera. The image enhancer device includes an image manipulator coupled to a first region of a housing and configured to modify an optical path of the digital camera; an aimer having an aiming element configured to direct at least one aiming light beam towards an object of interest; an illuminator having an illumination element configured to direct at least one illumination light beam from the housing towards the object of interest; and electronics allowing for communication between the image enhancer device and the associated mobile electronic device. The image enhancer device forms a scan angle relative to a field of view of the digital camera of the mobile electronic device and allows for bar code imaging and/or native image processing with the digital camera of the associated mobile electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20070140222
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, computer-readable medium and software system for allowing computer users to exchange a position on a waiting list. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided that facilitates the exchange of one or more positions on a waiting list using networked computers. In this embodiment, the method includes building a waiting list that has an order of priority to a good or service. Once a waiting list exists, positions on the waiting list may be presented as being available for exchange at a location that is accessible in the networking environment. Then, if an agreement is reached between users to exchange a position on the waiting list, the method facilitates performance of the agreement.

  • Publication number: 20060206717
Abstract: Image based login procedures for computer systems include: (a) displaying a first image on a computer screen; (b) receiving user input indicating a portion of the first image; (c) determining if the user input corresponds to a first acceptable user input for user authentication; and (d) proceeding with the authentication procedure when this user input corresponds to the first acceptable user input for user authentication. Additionally or optionally, when proceeding with this authentication procedure, the systems and methods further may include: displaying a second image on the screen; receiving new user input indicating a portion of the second image; and determining if this new input corresponds to a second acceptable user input for user authentication.
