  • Patent number: 8312946
Abstract: A trigger 52a control apparatus is provided for operating a transmission 44 of a self-propelled mowing machine 20 via a cable 42 between a halt condition and an advancement condition. The trigger 52a control apparatus includes a housing 100, and a plurality of independently operable triggers 52a rotatably coupled to the housing 100 for movement between an engaged and a disengaged position 104. Each trigger 52a includes an operation member 108a. A cam 114 is rotatably coupled to the housing 100 about a cam rotation axis 116 and operatively coupled to the cable 42, wherein rotation of the cam 114 in a first direction relatively increases tension in the cable 42. An actuation member 138 is coupled to the cam 114 a distance from the cam rotation axis 116.

  • Patent number: 8037669
Abstract: A mower 10 is provided for cutting grass where the mower 10 includes a body 12 with a mower deck 16, a motor 14, a baffle 30, and a battery 52. The mower deck 16 has a downwardly-open interior within which grass is cut. The motor 14 is supported upon the mower deck 16 and supplies a motive force for a mowing operation where the motor 14 includes at least a portion operable by electrical energy. The baffle 30 is located within the interior of the mower deck 16 where the baffle 30 bounds an area within the mower deck 16. The battery 52 is located within the interior of the mower deck 16 and is located within the area bounded by the baffle 30. In another example, the mower deck 16 and the baffle 30 are configured for substantially restraining the movement of the battery 52. In an example method, the battery 52 is installed within a baffle 30 that is secured within an interior of the mower deck 16.

  • Publication number: 20100269473
Abstract: A mower 10 has a rearwardly directed discharge 24 and a handle 32 for gripping by an operator 12 walking behind the mower 10. A motor 18 powers a grass cutting operation to provide a flow of cut grass 26. A collection bag 36 has an inlet to mate with a discharge 24 of a cutting platform 16 for receiving flow of cut grass 26 there through. The bag 36 has a support 30 and a fabric enclosure 40. The fabric allows air to permeate there through while retaining cut grass 26. An opening 56 through the fabric is located on an upper side of the collection bag 36 and adjacent to the inlet of the collection bag 36. A transparent window 54 is attached to fabric and extends across the opening 56 through the fabric to permit the operator 12 to view the flow of cut grass 26 moving from the cutting platform 16 through the discharge 24 and into the bag 36 through the inlet of the collection bag 36 from an operator 12 position.

  • Publication number: 20060212348
Abstract: A system and method for scheduling advertisements. The system has an inventory of advertisements wherein each advertisement comprises a demographic and a client identifier. An interface is provided for receiving an order wherein the order has a target demographic, a target client identifier, impressions to be played (I), value (V), time remaining (T) and a product code (PC). An order priority is determined wherein for each advertisement of the advertisements the demographic matches the target demographic and the client identifier matches the target client identifier and the advertisements are sorted by priority (P) into a priority list. The priority for each advertisement is a function of the impressions to be played, the value, and the time remaining. An order queue is provided wherein the priority list is resorted by an attractiveness into a play list.
