  • Patent number: 11681047
Abstract: A system uses data captured by vehicle-mounted sensors to generate a view of a ground surface. The system does this by receiving digital image frames and associating a location and pose of the vehicle that captured the image with each digital image frame. The system will access a three dimensional (3D) ground surface estimation model of the ground surface, select a region of interest (ROI) of the ground surface, and select a vehicle pose. The system will identify digital image frames that are associated with the pose and also with a location that corresponds to the ROI. The system will generate a visual representation of the ground surface in the ROI by projecting ground data for the ROI from the ground surface estimation model to normalized 2D images that are created from the digital image frames. The system will save the visual representation to a two-dimensional grid.

  • Publication number: 20230166790
Abstract: A steering system for an articulated truck. The articulated truck is formed of a tractor and a trailer and an articulation joint. The steering system includes a hydraulic cylinder, with a cylinder barrel and a piston. The steering system provides for changes in angle between the tractor and the trailer. The hydraulic cylinder includes a snubbing tube projecting into the cylinder barrel. A hydraulic fluid passage opens into the cylinder barrel within the snubbing tube. The snubbing tube includes a main slot and a plurality of channels each extending between an interior and an exterior of the snubbing tube. The plurality of channels have a cross sectional area smaller than a cross sectional area of the main slot. When the articulated truck is steered, the piston moves in the cylinder barrel and the snubbing tube dampens the movement to prevent forces generated by the piston damaging the articulated truck.

  • Publication number: 20230141964
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for multi-layer caching of data. An example method commences with creating a data structure on top of an information retrieval library. The data structure is designed to access data associated with the information retrieval library through a local index. The method includes creating a plurality of ordered cache layers for the data accessed via the local index. The plurality of ordered cache layers are ordered based on frequency of access and a last layer is used to access the data over a network. The method then continues with receiving a search query. The method further includes determining that the search query is for the data associated with the last layer. The method further continues with executing, using the local index, the search query locally to retrieve a matching document from the data associated with the last layer remotely.
