Embodiments of the domain management system comprise a name assignment system and a hosting system, wherein the hosting system comprises a domain retrieval system and a data storage apparatus. The name assignment system verifies availability and assigns domain names to requesting clients. The name assignment system comprises an input component, a confirmation mechanism and a name storage means. Preferred embodiments of the domain retrieval system comprise a scheduler, a parsing member having a plurality of redirectors and a plurality of servers. The domain retrieval system locates the domain referenced by the domain name by parsing header information and utilizing a wildcard DNS. • Publication number: 20090147824
Abstract: A passive wireless temperature sensor with a loop antenna is placed in a remote environment for exposure to its changing temperature conditions. The sensor includes a coil of wire wrapped around a cylinder to form an air-core inductor. The cylinder contains a small amount of eutectic material similar to a conventional thermometer which has the property of being magnetic. A capacitor is connected to the coil of wire to form a resonant LC “tank” circuit. As temperature increases, the eutectic material expands through the cylinder at the core of the inductor causing an increase in inductance and corresponding decrease in the resonant frequency of the LC “tank” circuit. The temperature of the remote sensor is proportional to resonant frequency and can be determined by generating an oscillating signal and measuring resonant frequency of the remote sensor.

  • Publication number: 20090074016
Abstract: Apparatus for Terahertz wave generation. An amplified laser generates a pulsed optical fundamental beam and a crystal passes the fundamental beam to generate a second harmonic beam of the fundamental beam. A lens focuses the mixed fundamental and second harmonic beams and a gas cell containing water vapor receives the focused beams and generates Terahertz waves.

  • Publication number: 20090066948
Abstract: Compact terahertz spectrometer. The spectrometer includes an optical beam both for generating terahertz radiation for interaction with the sample and for use in a detector. A DC heterodyne detector uses a DC field-induced second harmonic wave at a sensor plasma to serve as a local oscillator. The spectrometer has a bandwidth orders of magnitude larger than conventional THz spectrometers.

  • Patent number: 7036650
Abstract: A sheet accepting apparatus comprises an inlet (210) for receiving one or more sheets. A transport system (217,350) extracts sheets from the inlet. A first detector (222) detects the passage of a foreign object with the transported sheet(s), the transport system being controllable to divert a detected foreign object to a foreign object collection position (215). One or more further detectors monitor sheets fed by the transport system. At least one store (205) is provided for storing accepted sheets. A controller is responsive to the detectors for controlling the transport system.

  • Patent number: 6830075
Abstract: A hose assembly includes a brake hose and a hose bracket integrally molded around the brake hose. The hose bracket attaches the hose to a frame of a vehicle. The bracket may be made of at least one polyolefin material selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, thermoplastic olefin (TPO), thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPE), polypelene, santoprene, or other similar low temperature materials suitable for automotive applications. The bracket may be molded using a low pressure molding operation. Other conventional components of the hose assembly, such as rub rings and clips, can also be integrally molded to the brake hose in conjunction with the hose bracket.
