  • Publication number: 20240077781
Abstract: Conventional high performance computer connections are electron-based systems, which require the memory packages to be as close as mechanically possible to the computation engine. Low power and high bandwidth communication, e.g. photonic, links can drastically change the architecture of high-performance computers by eliminating the bottlenecks in communication and augment existing memory systems to allow them to be both high capacity and high bandwidth simultaneously.

Abstract: A portable headrest assembly having a foldable, substantially planar, U-shaped platform assembly with an open proximal end. The platform assembly is adapted to support a padded assembly and a user's head. A foldable, portable stand assembly with a central support assembly is pivotally coupled to at least three laterally extendable leg assemblies adapted to support the inventive concept in a freestanding position. A telescoping rod assembly is disposed through the central support assembly of the portable stand assembly, the top end portion coupled to a longitudinally rotatable joint assembly. At least one first tightener and loosener assembly circumscribes the telescoping rod assembly, and at least one second tightener and loosener assembly is disposed through the longitudinally rotatable joint assembly, the joint and loosener assemblies designed to change and maintain the optimal height and angle of the foldable, substantially planar, U-shaped platform assembly.

  • Patent number: 6124949
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for preventing an originating facsimile machine from going on hook prior to call completion due to setup delays. The originating facsimile machine includes a start connect timer having a predetermined time duration. The method and apparatus include detecting a facsimile call origination from the originating facsimile machine, anticipating expiration of the start connect timer, and sending a benign signal to the originating facsimile machine prior to expiration of the start connect timer, wherein the benign signal allows the originating facsimile machine to receive a digital identification signal message from a terminating facsimile machine prior to expiration of the start connect timer.
