  • Patent number: 11833703
Abstract: A process can be used for producing foam panels, for the production of foam films, composed of a polymer having a glass transition temperature Tg of at least 100° C. An average cell diameter of the foam panels measured according to the standard ASTM D 3576 is between 20 ?m and 250 ?m, and less than 20 cells having a diameter >260 ?m are present per m2. The elongation at break of the foam is 4%-13% measured according to ASTM D 638.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2021
Date of Patent: December 5, 2023
    Assignee: Evonik Operations GmbH
Inventors: Felix Goldmann, Thomas Richter, Matthias Alexander Roth, Florian Becker, Jorge Manuel Pinto

  • Patent number: 10279513
Abstract: A disclosed process includes steps of heating a foamed material by irradiation with near infrared radiation having a wavelength between 0.78 and 1.40 ?m to form a heated material, forming the heated material with a forming tool to obtain a formed material, and cooling the formed material and demolding to obtain a final workpiece. The foamed material may be constructed as a composite ply construction including an outer material and a foamed core between the outer material. The foamed material may contain a poly(meth)acrylimde, a polypropylene or a highly-crosslinked polyurethane.

  • Patent number: 8915201
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing a reinforced foam material and for receiving a textile semifinished product in a hook. To this end, the device has a first subunit having a transport device and a second subunit having a receiving device. The transport device is designed to convey the textile semifinished product into the receiving device, and the first subunit and the second subunit are designed such that the textile semifinished product can be presented in defined length by a relative movement of the first subunit relative to the second subunit. Furthermore, the receiving device of the second subunit is set up such that the textile semifinished product can be placed in the hooks by a relative movement of the receiving device relative to the hook.

  • Publication number: 20080226876
Abstract: A sandwich structure reinforcement carried out by a gripper, which pierces the sandwich structure or the core material, only at one side, thereby obtaining a hole penetrating through, e.g., a polymer rigid foam. At the opposite side, the gripper catches the reinforcing structure (for example a sewing thread, pultruded fiber-plastic composite rods) and inserts the reinforcing structure into the sandwich structure during back movement thereof. The through hole is additionally enlargeable by the reinforcing structure, thereby making it possible to obtain an important fiber volume part in the through hole of the core material.
