  • Publication number: 20230182595
Abstract: A charging station for an electric or hybrid vehicle includes at least one battery bank, a charging/discharging electronics system, at least one connection to a vehicle charging port, and an air conditioning device for heating and cooling at least one battery bank. The air conditioning device includes a refrigerant circuit for conducting a refrigerant and a coolant circuit for conducting a coolant. A control unit of the air conditioning device is configured for establishing a thermal short circuit of the coolant circuit between a heat reservoir and a cold reservoir and operating a motor of a compressor of the refrigerant circuit for as long as it takes for the waste heat of the motor fluidically connected to a space surrounding the battery bank to effectuate a temperature increase in the space to or above a predefined value.

  • Publication number: 20220111746
Abstract: A cooling tank installation (10) for a liquid cooling of a charging station for electrically powered motor vehicles includes at least one reservoir (12, 14) for receiving an environmentally hazardous cooling medium. The reservoir (12, 14) is inserted in a retention vessel (16) for retaining a quantity of leakage from the reservoir (12, 14), and a receiving volume for receiving the entire liquid volume of the reservoir (12, 14) is formed between the reservoir (12, 14) and the retention vessel (16). The retention vessel (16) is inserted in an outer vessel (20) that provides support with respect to earth loads. An absorption body (24) is provided in the outer vessel (20) between the retention vessel (16) and the outer vessel (20) in the direction of gravity for absorbing moisture, and a moisture sensor detects moisture of the absorption body (24).

  • Patent number: 11088409
Abstract: The invention relates to an energy store comprising an arrangement of battery cells (70, 80, 90) in an installation housing (2), wherein groups (I, II, III) of battery cells (70, 80, 90) follow one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis (10) of the installation housing (2). Within each group (I, II, III) of battery cells (70, 80, 90), a flow path (50, 51, 52) for cooling air is formed, which flow path connects a feed air opening (35, 36, 46) for a cooling air flow (5, 6) to a cooling air outlet (20, 21, 23). In order to achieve effective cooling, first feed air openings (35) and a first cooling air outlet (20) are associated with a first flow path (50) in a first group (I) of battery cells (70) and second feed air openings (36) and a second cooling air outlet (21) are associated with a second flow path (51) in a second group (II) of battery cells (80).
