  • Patent number: 7845923
Abstract: A spinning, drawing and texturing machine for the production of curled threads includes a spinning unit and multiple machine modules associated with the spinning unit. Each of the machine modules has multiple processing assemblies for drawing and curling one of the threads, and a spooling unit for winding the thread. The machine modules positioned next to one another form a longitudinal side of the machine. The processing assemblies and the spooling unit are arranged among each other at one of the machine modules such that a narrow machine partition (T) in a range of <800 mm occurs on the longitudinal side of the machine. The spinning unit has one or more spinnerets and one spinning duct within the machine partition (T) per machine module. The spinnerets are held in rows parallel to the longitudinal side of the machine.

  • Publication number: 20080197522
Abstract: A device and method for producing a spun-bonded non-woven. A molten polymer supplied to a spinning beam from a melt source is extruded through a multiplicity of linearly arranged spinneret bores into filaments arranged in the form of a curtain. A tensile force is exerted on the filaments by means of a draw-off nozzle. The filaments are thereupon deposited on to a conveyer belt where they form a spun-bonded non-woven. At the draw-off nozzle, a monitoring means is provided which detects a characteristic quantity characteristic of the process. One or more structure-borne sound sensors are preferably used as monitoring means. The measurement result of the monitoring means, after a desired value comparison, is supplied to a signal means or is used for regulating the process.

  • Publication number: 20080126039
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for simulating a visual surface pattern of a fiber product and a method and an apparatus for producing a multicolored BCF yarn. In this case, at least one parameter of a strand-like fiber bundle is sensed and is digitized into data which is converted with the aid of evaluation electronics into a surface pattern. The visual appearance of a longitudinal portion of the fiber bundle may be detected as an image as a parameter of the stand-like fiber bundle. A rapid and reproducible simulation of the visual surface pattern of a fiber product is consequently possible. Additionally, the production of the fiber product, for example a BCF yarn, can be monitored by means of the simulation results, so that at least one process parameter can be selected and/or monitored. For this purpose, an image acquisition appliance is provided, which is assigned to a bobbin or to the BCF yarn and which is connected to an evaluation device for an actual-value/desired-value comparison.

  • Publication number: 20070199297
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for producing staple fibers, wherein in a first step a tow is formed from melt spun filaments and deposited into a can, and wherein in a second process step the tows of a plurality of cans in a can creel are withdrawn, treated, and cut to staple fibers. To obtain as much as possible short times of interruption between the first and second process steps, the invention provides for depositing the tow in the first process step directly into the can accommodated in the can creel, with the cans of the can creel being filled one after the other.

  • Patent number: 7150083
Abstract: The invention relates to a compressive crimping device for a synthetic multi-threaded yarn. The thread is compressed by a texturing device to form a tangle of thread. The tangle of thread is subsequently cooled by means of a cooling device and unraveled to form a crimped thread. The tangle of thread runs through a heating area in the transition area between the texturing device and the cooling device, the heating area being essentially defined by the distance between the tangle outlet of the texturing device and a tangle receiving element of the cooling device. According to the invention, a means of adjustment is provided in order to adjust the distance and deflection angle between the tangle outlet and the element receiving the tangle.

  • Publication number: 20050151295
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for spinning and texturing a multifilament composite yarn. The composite yarn is formed from a plurality of yarn components, which are spun, cooled, drawn, and textured in parallel relationship. To obtain physical properties that are adapted to the quality characteristics of the yarn components, the invention provides for drawing at least one of the yarn components separately and independently of the other yarn components before texturing. To this end, a plurality to separate feed roll systems are provided, with at least one of the feed roll systems being associated to the one of the yarn components, and with the one yarn component being drawn by the feed roll system separately and independently of the other yarn components.

  • Patent number: 6872339
    Abstract: A device and a method for the melt spinning and depositing of a plurality of tows (5.1, 5.2, . . . , 5.n) utilizes several spinning devices (1.1, 1.2, . . . , 1.n) by means of which one of the tows 5.1, 5.2, . . . , 5.n is produced from a filament bundle (4.1, 4.2, . . . , 4.n). Each spinning device (1.1, 2.2, . . . , 1.n) is associated with a respective drawing-off device and a respective can depositing device (3.1, 3.2, . . . , 3.n) so that each of the tows (5.1, 5.2, . . . , 5.n) can be deposited individually in a respective can (19.1, 19.2, . . . , 19.n).

  • Publication number: 20040202741
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for melt spinning and cooling a group of filaments, wherein the group of filaments is extruded through a plurality of spin holes of an annular spinneret to form an annular filament sheet. The group of filaments is then cooled by an inner airflow, which is generated by an air diffuser in the interior of the filament sheet. To obtain in the case of a particularly high filament density of the filament sheet a particularly uniform cooling of the inner and outer filaments of the filament group, the group of filaments is additionally cooled by a second outer cooling airflow which is generated by an additional air discharge member on the outer side of the filament sheet.
