  • Patent number: 9112581
Abstract: A method and a device for data processing between a first network element connected via several lines to several second network elements. The method includes the following steps: (i) if a line is trained, at least one other line is switched to a first mode; and (ii) if the line has been trained, the at least one other line is free to switch to a second mode.

  • Patent number: 8780739
Abstract: A method and a device for data processing in a network having a first network element and a second network element performs the following steps: (a) the second network element provides a control information to the first network element; (b) a portion of data sent from the first network element to the second network element is identified by the control information; and (c) upon identification of the portion of data a retransmission from the first network element to the second network element can be initiated.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8634518
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for data processing, including the steps of transmitting a first signal from a first instance to a second instance and sending a second signal from a third instance to the first instance, wherein the second signal corresponds at least partially to the first signal as received at the third instance.

  • Patent number: 8111637
Abstract: A method, an arrangement and a device for transmitting data via a plurality of channels. Additional data d are transmitted via at least one channel, and the transmission of the additional data d influences the transmission of the data in at least one of the further channels. The transmission of the data in the at least one of the further channels is influenced for example in such a way as to reduce interference, such as crosstalk, for instance, in the at least one of the further channels. The additional data d are advantageously transmitted during pauses in the user data transmission of the at least one channel.

  • Publication number: 20110122937
Abstract: A method and a device enable signal-to-noise (SNR) measurement. The system includes the following steps: (i) at least one first network component transmits bursts to at least one second network component, wherein each burst comprises several sub-carriers or tones; and (ii) a third network component performs an SNR measurement for the bursts. In addition, a communication system with such a device is described.

  • Publication number: 20100017539
Abstract: A method and devices for the exchange of data between a client network access system and a provider network access system. A message is sent from the provider network access system to the client network access system. The message triggers a response containing information about the client network access system, the response being sent from the client network access system to the provider network access system. The message uses a multicast address in a destination MAC address field, which functions in such a way that messages addressed thereto are not forwarded by the client network access system, and the information relates to an Ethernet OAM function. If the message is an inquiry, for example, as to whether the Ethernet OAM function is supported by the client network access system, the provider network access system can automatically be adapted to the configuration of the client network access system.
