  • Publication number: 20240100357
Abstract: A control circuit configured as a multi-criteria optimizer generates a radiation therapy treatment plan. The circuit then determines a resultant dose distribution as a function of the radiation therapy treatment plan and presents, on a display, at least a part of that resultant dose distribution. The latter may comprise, for example, presenting at least one isodose line on the display. The control circuit then detects user manipulation of a user interface. By one approach, this manipulation does not include corresponding immediate movement of any part of the presented resultant dose distribution itself. In particular, the detected user manipulation does not result in dragged movement of an isodose line on the display.

  • Patent number: 10150654
Abstract: A system is provided for identifying an operator and managing access rights in connection with a crane. The crane includes a control system and a controller positioned at a distance from it. The control system maintains a plurality of operator-specific parameters that define operator rights. An identifier reader is placed in connection with the controller for reading the operator's identifier by using a first connection. A second connection is set up between the identifier reader and the control system to send the operator's identifier, or information derived from it, to the control system. The control system compares the operations requested through the controller with the operator-specific parameters, which define operator rights, and allows the operation of the crane only within the scope of rights associated with the operator's identifier.

  • Patent number: 7757990
Abstract: In a reel change in the reeling process of a fiber material web, the fiber material web (W) running to a reel that is becoming full is changed to run around a new reeling core (2) brought to a reel change position in such a way that the web is made to adhere onto the surface of the new reeling core (2). The web (W) is made to adhere onto the surface of the reeling core (2) by a change in the properties of the material on the surface of the reeling core (2). The material is a combination of an adhesive area (6a) on the surface of the reeling core and a protective layer (6b) on top of the adhesive area, and the properties of the material are changed by removing the protective layer (6b).

  • Publication number: 20080251628
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus in reeling up, in which a paper web or the like (W) is reeled around a center-driven reel spool (5), which is transferred from the primary reeling to the secondary reeling, in which reeling the reel spool (5) is transferred in accordance with the growth of the reel by means of a transfer device (7) at least at some stage of the reeling and the web is brought at said stage from below the reel spool (5) via a reeling nip (N1) formed by the reel spool (5) and a loop (1) of an endless supporting member. According to the invention the web (W) is guided around the reel spool (5) during the reeling via an auxiliary nip (N2) formed by means of the reel spool (5) and the roll (10, 10?).

  • Publication number: 20080140322
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a system in the maintenance of machine components, devices and systems relating to papermaking, where the condition, state and/or performance of machine components, devices and systems relating to papermaking are monitored by monitoring systems, which are used for performing load measurements and for collecting load measurement data comprising load measurement signals. In the method according to the invention, the measured load measurement data is processed in such a way that of the load measurement data one or more load characteristics are formed, which express the load directed at the machine component or device being measured. In the method according to the invention, load characteristics determined in real time are used as input information for an operational reliability model in order to provide an operational reliability model.

  • Publication number: 20080017341
Abstract: A method and a system to control a reeling profile of a material web reel (30), when, in the forming of a material web reel (30), a web is reeled around a reeling core and when in an adjustment of CD-directional profiles of the web reel, profiling devices (8) have been applied. For adjusting quality profiles and reeling profiles of the web, profiling devices are managed with the help of profile measurings of the roller nip and/or of the profile measurings of the reel (30), which are obtained from the reel-up (2). A measuring device (40) for a measuring of a CD-directional hardness profile of the fiber web reel includes a measuring head (43), which is connected with a loading means (41, 42), which loads the measuring head against the fiber web reel. The motion course of the measuring head is linear.

  • Publication number: 20070023561
Abstract: A belt reeler has a reeling nip (7) formed by a reeling core (6) or a growing machine reel (4) and at least one endless supporting member (3) traveling at least via a first wire guiding roll (1), and a second wire guiding roll (2). Several parameters of the belt reeler are adjusted simultaneously to adjust the reeling process, of which parameters at least the first parameter and the second parameter are one of the following: web tension (P1), wire tension (P2), distance of the machine reel from the wire turning roll (P3), depression of the wire/machine reel (P4), surface draw (P5, P5?, P5?), and peripheral force (P6).

  • Publication number: 20060175456
Abstract: Before a reel change a new core (5) is brought to a change station. When the old reel (R) is full, the web is changed to travel to the new core periphery and primary reeling beings. The web forms a reel through a reeling nip (N1) between the loop of an endless supporting member (1) and the core. A change is made to secondary reeling, where a portion of the supporting member (1) brings the web to the reel, to move over to the reel in a nip (N) between said portion and the reel outer periphery. The core (5) is transferred so the nip (N) moves forward. A first guide roll (2) is transferred towards the core periphery so the distance of the nip (N1) located between the core (5) and the loop of the supporting member (1) from the first guide roll (2) changes in the primary reeling.
