  • Publication number: 20230234686
Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program for controlling propulsion of marine vessel. The propulsion is implemented by a foil wheel propulsion system. The method includes: receiving a wheel operation status from a wheel drive; receiving a plurality of foil operation statuses from a plurality of foil drives; receiving a command from a vessel control system; generating wheel control data for the wheel drive to control a foil pitch function of the foil wheel propulsion system based on the command in view of the wheel operation status; and generating foil control data for the plurality of the foil drives to further control the foil pitch function of the foil wheel propulsion system based on the command in view of the wheel operation status and the plurality of foil operation statuses, wherein a reference torque of the foil control data for each foil drive is generated using a foil feedforward model.

  • Publication number: 20230128494
Abstract: A method and a system for growing plants on multilayer principle in mobile gutter farming is described, whereby, in the process of growing plants planted in cultivation gutters, said plants are conveyed in cultivation layers present on top of each other in a cultivation space in a longitudinal direction of the cultivation space in one or opposite directions. The cultivation gutters and the plants contained therein, are treated in the cultivation space by means of a processing arrangement in a cultivation layer-specific manner, whereby the cultivation gutters and the plants contained therein are first of all conveyed by motion elements in each cultivation layer of the cultivation space in the longitudinal direction of the cultivation space in opposite directions and are treated by processing elements in each cultivation layer of the cultivation space separately, in a manner substantially independent of the other cultivation layers.

  • Patent number: 10877098
Abstract: A method for detecting a fault in an AC/AC exciter having an exciter rotor and an exciter stator. A signal reflecting the current or voltage, is obtained at an exciter rotor winding or at an exciter stator winding. A frequency analysis is applied and on the basis of a presence of a frequency component, a rotor current or voltage signal, at a first frequency fs*(2?s), where fs is a supply frequency of the exciter stator and s is an exciter slip, it is determined whether the exciter suffers from an inter-turn short circuit in an exciter stator winding or not. On the basis of a presence of a frequency component, in the case of a stator current signal or a stator voltage signal, at a second frequency fs*(1?2*s), it is determined whether the exciter suffers from an inter-turn short circuit in an exciter rotor winding or not. Presence of frequency components at the first and/or second frequencies in windings of an AC/AC exciter indicate the mentioned fault conditions.

  • Patent number: 5612277
Abstract: A catalyst is made of at least two metal foil strips, the transverse corrugations having been formed in at least one of them. The metal foil strips are formed into a honeycomb containing channels. The strips are coated with a support or with supports, and at least one catalytically active agent such as a noble metal is added to the coated strips in order to produce a catalytic surface. In this case the catalytic surface has the physical structure derived from the coating. The honeycomb has at least two catalytic surfaces differing from each other with respect to at least the support or the physical structure.
