  • Publication number: 20030031723
Abstract: The invention concerns the formulation and method of fabricating rapid dispersion spheroids which can be heavily charged with active substances. These spheroids are formulated using at least one active substance, specifically a solution of vegetable origin, absorbed and/or adsorbed on a dry technological mixture with a slightly substituted hydroxypropylated cellulose ether base at the level of core groups &bgr;-O-glucopyranosil, preferably characterized by having a substitution rate of about 11% and a water soluble fractional percentage of about 4.29%. The spheroids are obtained by an extrusion and spheronization process. This invention is of interest in the fields of health, hygiene, dietetics, cosmetology, nutrition, and agriculture; it may concern humans or animals.

  • Patent number: 5733551
Abstract: Compositions of natural, especially plant, constituents in the form of spheroids in particular of the medicinal type and formulations necessary to their preparation by a technical extrusion and spheronization system. Compositions characterized by the direct use of large quantities of solutions of natural, especially plant, origin such as liquid extracts adsorbed by natural or synthetic polymer-type substances. These various components are selected so that their combination permits the obtainment of a mass of a plasticity compatible with the technical extrusion and spheronization system. According to the process, liquid extract is prepared, this extract is incorporated in a substance of a polymeric type, the correctly moistened mass is extruded by micro-extrusion techniques and the extrudates are spheronized and then dried and calibrated.

  • Patent number: 4609050
Abstract: A root picker includes a main frame supporting within it a triangular picker frame pivoted on the main frame at one apex with a lower and rearwardly positioned apex supporting a picker roller which is rotated to pick stones from the ground. A conveyor chain supporting transverse bars with outwardly extending teeth is pivotally mounted adjacent the third apex of the frame upwardly and rearwardly of the picker roller so that the chain turns around an axis at a position alongside the picker roller to lift rocks between the conveyor chain and the picker roller onto a surface which leads up to a bucket. The frame pivots to lift the conveyor chain and the picker roller away from the ground and also the conveyor chain is pivotal relative to the frame to increase the spacing between the chain and the picker roller. Rotating sweep drums are positioned forwardly and outwardly of the frame to pick and sweep rocks into the picker roller.

  • Patent number: 4032989
Abstract: A garment liner adapted for encompassing the body of a wearer embodying a first set of biased-cut panel means including first and second biased-cut side panel means and a second set of unbiased-cut panel means including front and back panel means. The first and second biased-cut side panel means are, respectively, connected to opposed edges of the front panel means, while the back panel means interconnects the first and second panel means to thereby form a garment liner adaptable to encompass the body of a wearer. Each of the first and second panel means is arranged to encompass opposite zones of the side of the body from at least along a portion of a generally vertical line passing through the nipple of a breast and a generally medial portion extending along the front of the leg to at least along a portion of a generally vertical line which extends along a shoulder blade to a generally medial portion extending along the back of each leg.
