  • Publication number: 20240172833
Abstract: Exemplary devices and methods are disclosed that facilitate a modular shoe system, the system. The modular shoe system can include a sole having a ground contact side and an attachment side, a shoe body having an outer surface, where an attachment surface is formed on at least a portion of the outer surface of the shoe body, and where the attachment surface of the shoe body is configured to attachably and releasably connect to the attachment side of the sole. The modular shoe system may further include a shoe component including a shoe component attachment side, where the shoe body further includes a second attachment surface formed on a second portion of the outer surface of the shoe body, and wherein the shoe component attachment side is configured to attachably and releasably connect to the second attachment surface.

  • Patent number: 11867981
Abstract: An exemplary system, method, and device are disclosed that facilitate a modular eyewear system with modular components (e.g., lenses, frames, speakers, cameras, lights, etc.) that can be interchanged. The modular components can be interchanged using components that are reversibly attachable/releasable (e.g., magnets at both male-female connectors). This can allow a wearer of the eyewear to quickly reconfigure the eyewear for different purposes, readjust the fit of the eyewear, repair damage to the eyewear, and/or customize the appearance of the eyewear.

  • Patent number: 11801127
Abstract: Exemplary devices and methods facilitate a modular dental device including cartridges. The modular dental device includes an energy storage module, dispensing unit, motor, controller, button, and tube, configured to dispense a compound at a dispensing port. The modular dental device includes a chamber that may receive cartridges containing different compounds, and may serve different functions including cleaning and whitening. The modular dental device may be reconfigured to perform different functions by combining different dental device sections, or by changing the order that different dental device sections are connected in.

  • Patent number: 4808120
Abstract: A connector having two mutually engagable parts wherein a first part comprises a molded plastic housing having a pair of springy toothed prongs or clips between which a male contact extends and is supported against a finger of the body of the housing which projects between the clips. The other part comprises an elongate molded plastic housing having channel section which is arranged to hold a female contact between external walls. Notches complementary with toothed parts of the clips are provided such that the two parts of the connector mutually engage in interlocking relationship when mated. The finger serves as a closure for the channel section when the parts are mated.

  • Patent number: 4448478
Abstract: In a fiber optic connector element two or more fiber optic cables are each terminated in a ferrule whose end contains a beam expanding lens. The ferrules are tapered and each of them fits into a correspondingly tapered hole in an insert within the body of the connector element. The ends of the ferrules are substantially in the same plane and are adjacent to a transparent window which is mounted in a bezel surrounding the insert. When two such connector elements are mated, their windows are close to each other and parallel to each other, and each ferrule in one element is optically aligned with a ferrule in the other element. The casings and bodies of the connector elements may be constructed hermaphroditically.
