Abstract: An egg-shaped container is provided for packaging cosmetics and the like, the container having an upper half portion removably attached to a lower half portion. The lower half portion has an inside surface which includes a generally centralized flat portion, or a generally centralized slanted portion, both of which are formed such that the container will retain an upright position during display or storage.

Abstract: A color changing putty is provided for therapeutic exercise, comprising a silicone putty and a pigment such that when the putty is worked by the hands, the pigmented putty gives visual indication of color change after a certain length of time depending on the amount of the putty, the firmness of the putty, and the type of pigment used in the putty. A therapeutic exercise method is also provided using the color changing putty.

Abstract: Silicone putty-like substance is made by mixing dimethyl silicone gum with a boron compound (e.g., boric acid) and a reinforcing filler, and making sheet stocks of the mixture. The sheet stocks are placed on perforated trays in a heating oven and heated at a temperature of about 350.degree. F. to about 500.degree. F. for several hours. The volatiles produced during heating (cooking) of the sheets stocks are removed from the oven by passing air through the perforated trays in order to obtain high bouncing putty which minimal amount of inferior product.

The composition basically consists of water, a thixotropic agent (e.g., hydroxyethyl cellulose), sulfonamide (e.g., toluene sulfonamide), 2-ethyl 1,3-hexanediol and propylene glycol ester of sebacic acid.

Abstract: A novel composition of matter for use as image transfer medium in the form of a viscous or semi-viscous solution. The composition basically consists of water, a thixotropic agent (hydroxyethyl cellulose) and a water-soluble glycol (1,3-butylene glycol) and includes, optionally, a water-insoluble glycol (hexanediol) to enhance the color of printed color matter. Images imprinted on putty-like substances may be transferred to surfaces which have been coated with such compositions.

Abstract: A silicone polymer and fillers are mixed in a high-intensity mixer until the fillers are dispersed in the silicone polymer, and the resulting dispersion is then compounded with other compounding ingredients to obtain a silicone rubber having improved physical properties.
