  • Patent number: 9119232
Abstract: An electrical heating device comprises a housing which encloses a circulation chamber through which a medium can flow, and into which heating ribs protrude. Each of the heating ribs has a U-shaped recess which open into a uniform connecting chamber, which is separated from the circulation chamber by a partition wall provided in the region of the open ends of the U-shaped recesses, and which accommodates at least one PTC heating element that abuts oppositely situated inner sides of the U-shaped recess in heat-conducting contact. A housing cover bears a pump and forms a pump channel. The pump channel opens into an inlet opening of the pump, which is formed by a pump housing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 2011
Date of Patent: August 25, 2015
Assignee: Eberspacher catem GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Maurice Clauss, Franz Bohlender, Michael Niederer

  • Patent number: 7753440
Abstract: A fan module for a vehicle seat, comprising a housing which defines at least one portion of an air-conducting duct and accommodates an air conveyor providing, in a position of use, an airflow inside the duct. To reduce disturbances caused by noise during the operation of the fan module it is proposed that the housing and/or the duct comprises at least one sound outlet opening in the flow direction of the airflow downstream behind the air conveyor and transversely with respect to the flow direction of the airflow, which is covered by a sound-absorbing material.

  • Patent number: 7098426
Abstract: An electric heating device is adapted to be used in particular as an auxiliary electric heating for motor vehicles. The heating device comprises a plurality of PTC heating elements arranged in a plane of said heating device. The PTC heating elements are in electric contact with contact sheets for supplying current thereto and in thermal contact with radiator elements for transferring the heat produced to an air current to be heated. According to the present invention, the PTC heating elements arranged in this plane are adapted to be controlled separately in at least two groups.
