  • Publication number: 20090188390
Abstract: There is provided an electrostatic precipitator comprising air inlet means to a conduit for the passage of an air flow containing particles and means generating a focusing electrostatic field within the conduit substantially orthogonal to the air flow in which the generating means comprise a two dimensional surface electrode including an ion source and an earthed counter electrode and in which the air inlet means and the surface electrode are adapted to direct ion substantially against the direction of the air flow in the conduit.

  • Patent number: 7361212
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator is detailed. The precipitator includes a conduit for the passage of particles in an air flow and a generator of an electrostatic field substantially orthogonal to the air flow, and an ion supply, capable of charging the particles, in which the generator includes a point electrode and a two dimensional surface electrode. The plane surface electrode includes an ion source and the point electrode includes a counter electrode and the counter electrode is earthed.
