  • Patent number: 10253472
Abstract: A method for transforming existing ground of a given site into a more stable foundation ground is provided. The method includes the steps of defining an outlined area about a surface of the existing ground, excavating soil throughout the outlined area to a depth extending through layers of different soil types; conditioning the excavated soil by mixing together layers of different soil types homogeneously, including in some cases soil imported from an external source; returning the conditioned soil to the outlined area to fill the excavated depth, and compacting the conditioned soil returned to the outlined area, thereby forming the stable foundation ground of high structural capacity and low compressibility.

  • Patent number: 8898996
Abstract: A method for forming a cementitious retaining wall is described. The method includes the step of defining on an earth surface an outline of the wall to be formed. The outline delimits an area of earth to be excavated. The method also includes the step of compacting the area. After compaction, the earth underneath and adjacent to the area is densified, which provides stability to the earth during excavation and after the wall is formed. The method also includes the step of excavating the earth from the area compacted to an initial depth, thereby creating a wall cavity. The method further includes the step of compacting the bottom surface of the wall cavity and subsequently excavating the earth from the compacted bottom surface. This step can be repeated as much as required, under a final depth of the wall cavity is reached. Once the final depth is reached, the wall cavity can be filled at least partially a cementitious material so as to form the retaining wall.

  • Patent number: 5259698
Abstract: A method for hiding from sight and protecting a dumping site containing inflammable and/or bad-looking waste, such as, for example, used tires. The method comprises spreading a covering membrane capable of covering the solid wastes and the gaps existing therebetween over the site or part of it, and subsequently spraying onto covering membrane, from a given distance away from the site, a thin layer of cementitious product or granular soil material to cover the some, the projected or blown product or material being subsequently used, if desired, as a support to convert the site into a landscape. The method can be used in the case of a fire, to cover the site and thus allow the fire to be choked down.
